Jayla's Insight

Just reading over bard AAs I see a few very useful ones, and some interesting ones. Jayla's Insight looks like a neat idea and is kind of resembling the bardic lore skill from DnD. However, with the Wiki and other ways to obtain information on MOBs, is this AA even very useful? What is the recast on this ability? Since I do not have the AA yet, I did not want to post this in the Suggestions forum, but would there be anyways to improve this AA or is it fine as is? It just seems that spending 6 AA on something that is just "interesting" isn't that great. However, maybe there is less information out there than I imagine and maybe this is actually very useful.

Any bards out there to give their 2cp?

This AA tells you the level/class/resists of the mob in question as I remember. For raids knowing the mobs resists is great (especially if it's the first time you're attempting the encounter) so your nukers have the right spells up and don't waste much mana on getting resisted/figuring out the mobs resists on their own.

Brancu Earthrumbler is a level 23 Warrior. It appears quite strong and extremely tough for its level. It seems averagely resistant to magic, weakly resistant to fire, weakly resistant to cold, weakly resistant to poison, and weakly resistant to disease.

It's an incredibly useful AA, raidwise and xp-wise.

You'll see once you get it. You'll see...

If you have a basic sense of what resists are going to be for mobs the AA is pointless, but if you want to put little to no thought into what your going to be doing on a caster. Then it's a good AA. Personally I've been able to accurately guess what resists a mob is going to have so I saved it to be the last bard AA I was going to get. Even though the guild nagged me into getting it :p

I got this and made a webpage of mob resists and levels based on zone.

Recently I use this to know to use ancient or 64 mez

Yeah thats the other good benift of having it. I know it's come in handy about 3 times for that situation for me.

I disagree. Many mobs that may be obviously highly resistant to cold or fire might also have another high resist such as poison or disease that you would not guess just by looking at the mob/zone. Sure if you've done the encounter 10x over its not necessary but if you're still progressing it's my favorite AA.

I use it fairly often, it's a good utility AA.

Casting Subtlety and the Dodge mod AAs on the other hand. . . .
