Issues with starting SOD

Hello everybody, I'm a returning player from a few years back, and this is the first time I've ever really had problems like this. I've successfully installed EQ Titanium, downloaded the patcher, ran it, and when I went to start up, the screen is glitchy, all the windows are devoid of text except for some flashing glitchy text, and I can't navigate the menu or work with any of the options.

I have no idea what I did as I followed the instructions on the site verbatim. Does anybody have any idea as to what to do?

OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 8650G

That happens to me sometimes when I do a fresh install. Usually once I reboot once it starts working (why, I don't know, the client is awful). So as stupid as it sounds I'd start there.

Sharing my experience with this:

I'm a bit late on this discussion but I've experienced this once. I ran the 'Check all files/patch them' in the GUI about 3 different times and rebooted a few times. This did happen to me about a year ago, but I believe my memory serves me well.
