Issue Solved (Intel Core2 Duo Issues)

Hello all,

I've read through the multiple processor thread and others, along with using the search feature of this forum and game's. I cannot find a patch to my Intel Core 2 Duo processor system that fixes the graphical bugs I am seeing.

I have tried a patch on Microsoft's site, and even updated my drivers, but the game still seems to be clipping in a weird manner, just like many of the threads on this issue. The character also moves jaggedly and I can see the background clipping in an out.

Edit: Here is a screen of what it looks like. I also forgot to mention I seem to be moving and running much faster then normal.

Thanks.

What was the issue? Dual core is what it says in title but what fixed it? Im having exact same graphics and im running like 3x bard speed. It's so fast i cant even play :/.

i get the same issue every 3 hours. i just restart my laptop and continue from there.

have either of you run that utility that makes sod only use one processor instead of two? EQ wasn't designed to run on computers with 2 processors and thats the core of the issue, from what I can understand.

ive attempted but theres a way that you need to be granted access to do it. and unless someone can break it down step by step, i havnt a fucking clue as to how to go about doing that.

it didnt work when i tried it.

Vista sucks. That is all..

No, seriously. It does suck!

Enable the Administrator Account

1. Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter or click the Start orb, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

2. Type the following in the command prompt and press Enter after:

net user administrator /active:yes

3. Restart your computer and logon as Administrator. (there will be no password until you set one)

Ah. Well, if you're the only one who uses the computer, then turn off UAC...

You should leave User Account Control (UAC) enabled because it helps protect you from spyware and viruses. If you frequently make configuration changes to your computer and your sick of the UAC confirmation prompts (I feel your pain), you can disable UAC by following these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2. In Control Panel, click User Accounts And Family Safety.

3. Click User Accounts.

4. Click Turn User Account Control On Or Off.

Though the link appears on a single user’s Control Panel page, it will affect all users.

5. Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) To Help Protect Your Computer checkbox, and then click OK.

6. When prompted, restart your computer.

er, that just disabled my wireless :psyduck:

or whatever. i'll fuck with it another day. i dunno why my laptop is being a vagina.
