I have the anniversary install set of disk but before I get excited about playing EQ again after quite some time can I just ask. Is this Free Server for real . Seems to good to be true.

I'm in need of Assistance...Help!

OK you Guys. This is the situation.

I have installed my " The Anniversary Edition " Everquest ... No Problems

I have created an Shads of Dalaya account... The fact that I can post here proves this is OK.

I have Downloaded the Patcher from your WebSite... no problems there.

I have run the Patcher and the patching service downloaded and updated my installed EQ...

I had selected the Patch & Run check mark ...

After all this the Log-in box displayed ( which looks very much like the **** front end ! )

I entered the same User Name and Password which I created and also the same to Log-on here.

The end result is the reply that they are invalid.....Although it does accept my original log-in when I played the game with **** ... now out of date.


What have I failed to do ?
 
your missing the step on the shortcut where you add patchme after the " otherwise its still trying to connect to the lives server database rather than sod where it should be connecting. So example would be c:/whatever/whatever/shardsofawesome/eqgame.exe" patchme. This would be when editing the shortcut you made on your desktop. Iirc i think that was one of the steps in that walkthrough on the wiki listed here:

I am now able to connect and Play on-line.

I un-checked the EQ box on the laucher, it was checked. I believe that by have that checked the launcher goes to ****.

Any way thanks for prompt response.
 
Think of all the work we could save if we just ran this as a scam and took the donation money,
 
lets do it, advertising would get easier too! Ill set up the mailspamservers in russia, Wold, can you write the email that tells people how playing sod and donating will make their package larger?
