is this a bug or just a misconception?

the dagger in primary is the same as the one i am trying to put into secondary.
the description says PRIMARY SECONDARY, yet my necro can only hold one in primary. where does it say i have to have dual weild to be able to equip this in secondary? i thought that if it had secondary listed in the description that i would be able to equip it with any other 1h item and i would still get the stats. i am only wanting to hold the item in my secondary to aquire the stats it comes with, not to try and double-stab or anything. if the dmg/delay is the only thing keeping me from equipping this into secondary why would it be listed as secondary for my class?
 
Agreed I have never seen an item that says secondary and has my class listed that i couldnt put in secondary any way this could be fixed? :what:
 
Some classes don't get dual wield and therefore can't have it equipped in the secondary slot, while some others can.
Necros, wizards, mages, enchanters and shadowknights can't wear this dagger in secondary slot because they have no dual wield.

even though its still listed as a secondary for each of these classes?

Slot: PRIMARY
Class: WAR RNG SHD BRD ROG NEC WIZ MAG ENC BST
Slot: SECONDARY
Class: WAR RNG BRD ROG BST

~would seem like a more accurate description for an item that falls into this category.
otherwise it sounds like casters aren't able to equip anything listed as secondary at all.
 
No items have separate listings for (non)dual wielding classes.

Casters can equip a bunch of items that are not a weapon in the secondary slot.


Dual-wielding classes:
warrior
rogue
monk
beastlord
bard
ranger


Non-dual wielding classes:
paladin
shadow knight
necromancer
magician
enchanter
wizard
cleric
druid
shaman
 
If you are a knight, priest or int caster then you can't equip anything in the secondary slot that has a dmg/dly value.
 
Same goes for weapons listed for bards, warriors, rogues and rangers can't be equipped in secondary until dual weilding is trained.

On the other hand, if the weapons was instead listed as secondary only w/ a non-dual weilding class listed, that's a problem.

Can u imagine the work to do that?

Dalium Dagger Primary
Dalium Dagger Secondary
Dalium Shortsword primary
....

too much work..

if its a weapon and u cant duel wield, no secondary for you :(
