Is there any way to boost 2 player grouping?

Hey again. I just cant get over this whole exp thing a lot of people seem to be talking about, so i thought i would post some of my feeling on this, because I actually group (2 people) but i dont DC, we are both actually playing that is :p

So.... what I have noticed and read on the boards as well, is that exp for 2 player groups is a 50% 50% split. Each player gets only half of the exp, and to get more exp per kill (than the combined total of 100%) you would need to add another player, up to 6 players for maximum efficiency. Now. This is totally fair when you look at how many people out there are DCing, but what about the large sum of us that dont? I go LFG all the time and even guildies of my level in zones that I am in dont allways want to group up(2 players) just because the exp is better solo (this might change at higher levels i think)

So basically, I was just wondering if there was any way to raise 2 person group exp without making life too good for the people that DC? I doubt it could be done at all, or doing some manual checklist of who DCes and so on would be to hard to keep track of, but I thought I would throw out there just one more post about this. Because some of us like to group now and then with just one person, because lets face it: its hard to put together huge groups all of the time that will stay together for more than half an hour

Not without also punishing people that play from the same IP or forbidding DCing.

As a person who doesn't like DC'ing / boxxing I like the idea of forbidding it to increase group exp. But currently there are some problems to it.
First is the bank not working. I just use DC'ing to transfer things between my toons.
Second is that it can't be forbidden. You could just create another account or log into your friend's account and DC as usual. If it was ip-controlled, then people playing in a lan would be screwed.
So I think right now it can't be done :(.

It can be done, it's not because DCing is needed due to our small pop, really.

I and Naddiana play from two differnt pcs over the same IP address. That wouldnt be fair to us because she doesnt play me and I do not play her. Would there be a way to check for that or would there be exceptions?

Such a shame. DCing hurts mid level grouping if you know...You don't like DCing. Good thing there is still a ton of quests and places for me to explore !!! :D

well.

DCing only hurts mid level grouping because people are too snooty to group with each other. If people would stop being such tards about it, and Fing group, DCing would really only mean that almost no group would be without a healer.

I had forgot about the LAN thing, would that apply to people that use wireless routers? Oh my, and I never even thought, but i actually let my brother make an account with my eqEmu password thing, well, whatever it is, you know what I mean. So I guess that when we are playing together, that is actually picked up on as DCing? Wow, anyways, its really to bad. Being LFG all the time is a pain, but i guess that just soloing as best we can up to 65 is the best way. It seems like grouping is easier then :( Oh well. If there is no other way i vote that people that solo should get a boost to exp lol ;) JK JK, it really is to bad though, it seems this is a knot and that the rope could be fixed, but first you would untie the knot and people would have to get angry before they would be happy =( if that made any sense at all...

bahh

I've always been cool about inviting people to lvl with me when I DC. Hell if I didn't DC most of these single players would ever get a group at the high end because we'd never have a healer in the group. Sorry if it sucks for some of you, but hopefully you'll find the cool people that DC and group for max efficiency.

Back in the day, when Rabb and Cyrus were about the same level, he ALWAYS invited Rabb to group, despite always having Gweniva at his side for all the heals he needed. It was a nice gesture, and I think a lot of people are willing to group if you ask them. Personally, I think the exp he lost by helping me group is made up by the friendship that it made.

I'd like to think others feel the same.

Yeah it is true that a lot of people are to stuck up to group with anyone. Shame though.

I leveled 1-60 rogue on this server without DCing. IT sucked. I dont really want to get into details but I had to turn in rogue dwarf heads at level 30+ and tizmak horns at 50+ In order to gain levels beacuse I couldnt solo blue cons. I grouped when I could but that was rare and not because of lack of players. (Everyone played a mage -- thanks to pets that cant tank, rogues cannot group with mages very well unless you use a bow.) Removing DCing will probably cause me to quit my character since there is very little a non-soloing class can do in game at the moment. It would also be a stab at the heart of my guild leaving us unable to do anything without re-rolling our characters.

Which is why DCing will stay at the very least until A) We have twice the population and B) I rebalance soloing (make it easier for melees)

Yaladwen, it is much easier to get groups around 50+ because people who duo realize that it's better xp for groups. From level 1 to 49 you get amazing xp, solo, or duo. I think that's the reason why people dono't like to group when they are DCing in the earlier level.

Myself, I've got a healer, and a tank, therefor, I'm the basis for a group. I try to invite guildies to group every chance I get. I don't rarely ever *have* to duo. From level 55+ I can't remember one time I didn't have trouble finding a group. So you DCers out there, facking group, you get good xp, you get to know people....this is game, so enjoy it with others. <3

Forbidding DCing... I let you group with me Tehx

Honestly, DCing really, really, sucks. It throws off balance, makes a joke of the concept of classes' soloability, discourages grouping, etc etc.

And makes people unsocial in a *multiplayer* game.

But it is what it is till its not.

I understand why its needed right now. Just like me some groups.
