intermittent 1017 and zone crash everytime

Greetings All

OK, did setup per instructions. Fresh EQ install, patched up to current live yesterday (6/17), updated with fixes and ran WR patcher. Tried both non-windowed and window'd didnt matter.

About 50% trying to login to server I get a 1017 error.

100% of the time zoning I am booted to server select, but after several attempts (1017 error) am able to log back in to the new zone.

Any Ideas?
 
update

appears my issue was with zone alarm, i am not running the latest version if that matters. Once disabled all is well... 1 zone crash out of about 10 during my play session last night, and only logged in twice with no 1017 errors.

going to update zonealarm tomorow and see if that helps... winxp w/o fw scares me..

Xerxes, I'm running ZA v5.5.062.004 on both my machines and they're fine with WR - and I agree, WinXP without a fw would keep me up at night ;(
