Info about Wizard Familiar

Any wizards with more experience could help me?

I would like to know what the effects of the familiars are so I can choose wich to summon.

We get:
Minor Familiar - used only for regen, never saw doin anything
Familiar - same
Protective Familiar - Never did anything special
Curative Familiar - havent used yet, heals you? Is it worth?
Sorcerer Familiar (lvl60) - double nukes sometime? % chance (once in a lifetime?)

Relic: Arcane Familiar or Allegiant familiar (AA) - What those do? Which one is better? Worth spending AA on the Allegiant?

Just questions of a new wizard trying to learn.

Thanks

I think that they all have the same effect, but it keeps getting slightly better as you progress. Pretty sure you just want to cast the highest level one. I know the relic one is pretty neat.

I believe the level 60 pet just mimics nukes. It definitely stays up as long as it doesn't get killed by an AoE or something.

The relic pet is the same thing but probably with a better % at mimicking nukes. It also does 50pt heals to anyone in your group during downtime. The relic doesn't have any reagents but the level 60 pet requires a summoned or normal peridot.

So thats the quick overview, the pets are definitely great. I'll leave specifics to some wizards, not sure if anyone knows the percents or anything.

Protective and Curative are the same level (49) pets. Looks like curative can cast the 50pt heal so, what is the special ability of the portective? Looks like the resists and regen buff of the tow are the same, so it probably have something better or its just a worse pet.

Minor/Familiar also provide some saves, iirc.
Protector: This is of negligible benefit, but the pet casts a slow spell on mobs that have hit you. Other than that, nothing, and since if you're a wizard getting beat on you're likely to die anyways, the slow will rarely save you.
Curative: Heals you, or a party member for 30(33) health. I used it while kiting in these levels, since wizards have no other way to heal themselves if they get bonked.
Sorceror: Mimics your nukes occasionally, costs a peridot. I don't know what rate it copies your nukes at, but it is significant. I seemed to notice that it casted more often if I was casting the same nuke over and over, but that cold just be me making things up.
Relic: Relic familiar is fuckin sweet, it does everything all of the above familiars does, nukes more often, heals for 50(55) and gives you 3 mana regen/tic. It also does not cost a peridot.

I don't know what AA you're talking about, maybe this is something you remember from live?
The relic pet is definitely the best, but relics are fairly inaccessible outside of the raid game.

Thanks a lot for the info. So curative for now, Sorcerer when I get to 60 - after staying a little at 57 for some traekoth raids :keke: and relic whenver I manage to get it.

Have to check my AAs ingame, that Allegiant familiar is probably something that was left in the spell file (saw it with the sod parser) and its not ingame anymore.

Level 60 familiar and the relic one have a chance to nuke your opponent after you do (though their nukes are smaller than yours) + what was mentioned above (minor heals).

60 one parsed 11-15 dps, relic one 20-32.

I can't help more with this matter, though.

parsing the dps of the pet is gonna be kinda ~~~~ though, since it all depends on what nukes you're casting yourself. They don't do smaller nukes; they cast exact same nukes as you, but they do not get the benefit of your damage increment or elemental focuses.
I know this for sure because I love watching my get get raped by relic nukes when fighting a mob that reflects.

the AA familiar is on the spell parser but it isn't in game, would have been a pretty sweet familiar tho

I wasn't disagreeing with your numbers per se, just saying that they are going to fluctuate wildly depending on what all is going on. They're nowhere near as consistent as say, the wiz melee pets that just run in and triple until they get 1shotted by anything ever.

Just listing the stat boosts here

Minor Familiar (Lv 16): 4 Resist All, +1 HP/Mana Regen
Familiar (Lv 29), Curative/Protective Familiar (Lv 49), Sorceror Familiar (Lv 60): 8 Resist All, +2 HP/Mana Regen
Relic: Arcane Familiar (Lv 65): 15 Resist All, +4 HP/Mana Regen

Allegiant Familiar from the spell data is the PoP AA familiar from Live. Life Fire and Fury of the Ashes appear to be the replacements in the AA screen.
