Ikisith Crash course

Titanas

Dalayan Elder
Hey Folks!

Call me lazy or a noob or what ever you want, but I'm looking for a quick crash course on what Ikisith is all about. I played and was super excited for Ikisith to come out. Once Iki came out I ran around to a few zones and was met with quest heavy progression. At the time I really had no intrest in this and stoped playing. 2 years later I'm back and I might step foot on Iki again. Here are some questions I have.

How do you get there?
I'm pretty sure you do the main quest I stoped with hates fury I could never clear this zone. My groups and I got like 4 pulls in then there is like a 20 mob pull that I wiped on with every group. So I dead ended the main quest.

Whats all there?
Raid zones, Names, Tiers
Exp zones, Names, ~AA/gear req's
Towns, Names, Questing required to enter?

Progression
Is the quest progression linier ?

Tradeskills
Do new tradeskill supplies drop there?

Factions?
Do Dragon Giant factions exsist?

Over Dificulty Grade?
While I was there I only managed to duo in Keasora (Key system is great), Citidel of the claw(zone in). I found the majority of mobs to be on par with my 6500 hp 550 aa pally tank Is this above or below what type of gear and experienced players in Iki?
Easy zones > hard zones > Super hard zones List please?

Traps
Are traps part of exploration?

Key Required zones?

New spells?

Your Opinion of Iki
Pros, Cons, Favorite parts, Least favorite parts ect...

I know this sounds super lazy but just looking for some easy simple feedback. Thanks in advance for your input.

There is a solo quest to get flagged to enter ikisith, and how to do it is detailed on the wiki. There is also the group version. If you want to progress your MQ you need to do the group version. But you can flag to get INTO ikisith with the solo quest and go back for group thing later afaik.

I'm not listing all of the zones here. The first zone after Hate's Fury is Prophet's Landing. The map of phase 1 (current release) Ikisith I made and the world map Nwaij made might be helpful, and the always beloved Zone links map was updated by Torelan to include Ikisith zones as well.

There are two "major" factions that dole out quests: Refugees and Gruploks. There are also spells associated with each faction which is cool if you cast spells, as well as a gateneck at high rank. Getting decently high rank with refuge is necessary to continue your MQ, though the MQ path through Ikisith involves raid content eventually so keep that in mind. And getting decently high with Gruplok might reveal some new TS things to you maybe. I never got into tradeskilling too much myself.

Yes.

No.

I'm not doing this.

I have no clue.

The Abyss requires completion of a long Gruplok questline.

See above. If you look at the the class spell page on the wiki, you will find the gruplok and refuge spells labeled.

There is some simple feedback. ~

Hey Folks!

How do you get there?
You can do the single player hatesfury and be flagged for most of the content.
The group hatesfury is for raid progression and the main quest, which you aren't going to complete unless you are raiding. Though it's not finished or not in game or something.

Whats all there?
Raid zones, Names, Tiers: requires the group hatesfury
Yclist - 9-10+ - have to kill entrance wisp
Temple of Elael - 9-10+ ? Only done two entrance bosses- repeatable keying zone unlock quest
Spires of Saitha - 10 - 12 - have to kill Prime Enchanter
Tur'ruj - 10+ - 12+ ( idk, raid tiers are kind of arbitrary and notional) - Have to defeat Saitha

World Raids and world bosses- f* tons from T3 - T8-9ish?
Also, the Citadel of the Claw would be pretty sweet for a T5 ish raid with the pristine bonus on items. This assumes staying first floor. - Claw Commander - 6 man - t 9 - key components drop in Cita
BQ elites - not so much, the casters would probably wreck the tanks. The caster nameds would ass rape everyone. 6 man - Ofgats - < A Staffer > : "It's not bugged!" - Seriously bugged.

abyss - 12 man - t9 - t10+ - keying quest - one of the drops is from yclist if i remember correctly.

Exp zones, Names, ~AA/gear req's
Towns, Names, Questing required to enter?
dungeon - runic one pieces drop in these, though more in harder areas and the main piece comes off a class named around baldalkan.

Kaesora - t5-6 areas ( Library - basement ) t8: to some extent relative- competent people go farther and twits will manage to die in NNP.
BQ - Same there is an entry level area and Elites which is probably t8 and up groups, though care and some avoidance might get you through.
(some of the casters cast moon comet )
Claw - same entrance is pretty cool early on to very hard and rewarding tracks

open
remnants - fairly pro - virtually everything here has some kind of named version that it may be a ph for. also 6 man T9 and 2 raids T8 and T10 respectively

dreadlands - where did all the inv skellies come from i dont even ... aaaaaaah

murk, dreadlands, prophets, et al - we drop quest items so have a lot of bank space zones. Damn near every drop is for a murk or dreadlands quest.

Progression
Is the quest progression linier ?

murk is for trade skill stuff, class spell progression and abyss access if group hatesfury flagged.
DL - Requires Group hatesfury and is for MQ and raid progression.

Tradeskills
Do new tradeskill supplies drop there?
yes, murk quests.

Factions?
Do Dragon Giant factions exsist?
Refuge Faction
Frawggs!
Orcs in Tears, who have some turn in quests. One with raid oriented access results as I vaguely remember.

The graphic wiki map pretty much shows it the way it is.

Traps
Are traps part of exploration?
I have no clue

Key Required zones?
as noted above

New spells?
murk, refugee spells, tomes and runics. but do your codices first please.

Your Opinion of Iki
Pros, Cons, Favorite parts, Least favorite parts ect...
you are going to spend tons of time there if you go. it really doesnt matter what i think. just be thankful
most of the quest lines have the bugs ironed out.

I know this sounds super lazy but just looking for some easy simple feedback. Thanks in advance for your input.
pretty much. most of this is on the wiki.

If you don't know what to do, do enough of the murk quest line to be able to bind in remnants, or even better use the vendor. Bind there, make friends and ask them what you should be doing.

How do you get there?

There is Hatesfury (solo) wich is basically metal gear solid on a kaezulian ship.
Then there is Hatesfury (group), the thing you tried yet (that 20pull is entirely skippable btw...). You need your Faction aug up to trader/warleader/CoIequivalentofthat to use the book you get off the final mob there.

Whats all there?
Raid zones, Names, Tiers
Exp zones, Names, ~AA/gear req's
Towns, Names, Questing required to enter?
Raid Zones: Tur'rujik (T12+), Spire of Saitha (T11+), Yclist, the Veiled City (T9+), The Temple of Elael (T9+), The Abyss (T9+, 12man zone). All these zones have some heavy questing in front of them to be able to go there, and Yclist/Spires/Tur'rujik are follow-ups to each other. There are also some world raid mobs of lower tiers, I don't know details about them.
EXP zones: Outdoor zones are Dreadlands, Prophets Landing, The Murk, Remnants of Old Ikild (wich is VERY popular), Elaels Tears (very hard and very unfrogiving), Field of Bone and Emerald Jungle. Indoor zones are Citadel of the Claw, Bloodquarry and Kaesora. All these dungeons are meant for 65+ people, with Kaesora being the easiest.

Progression
Is the quest progression linier ?
There are 2 major quest hubs, the hidden refuge (wich requires Hatesfury group version to be accessible) and Gruplok City in the Murk. There are also some minor quests in various other zones, like Remnants of Old Ikild and Elaels Tears.

Tradeskills
Do new tradeskill supplies drop there?
Yes. The gruploks have a few new combines that they might teach you if they like you enough and you are good enough in your trade.

Factions?
Do Dragon Giant factions exsist?
We have orcs and goblins. No giants nor dragons.

Easy:
  • Prophets Landing (avoid baldakans!)
    The Murk
    Remnants
    Kaesora

Harder:
  • Dreadlands, cause of a billion roamers
    Citadel
    Bloodquarry

Super hard:
  • Elaels Tears

Not worth your time unless you have a quest that takes you there really:
  • Emerald Jungle

Wich leaves Field of Bone. I personally like that zone, plenty of low tier raid events amass there.

Traps
Are traps part of exploration?
No.

Key Required zones?
All and any raid zones, none of the xp zones.

New spells?
Yes. Runic spells, spells from the slave rebellion, gruplok spells.

Thank you all very very much for this large amount of information I've requested. Much appreciated. I have one last question what do you mean by raid events in field of bone ?
Are these just random drop raid style mobs ? Item spawned raid events, or random "WAR" like events, or just Timer spawned named?

So I finaly made the leap and started on my Iki stuff.
You were not kidding about quest bag space...... I've got so many no drop things in my bags banks now its retarded.

I've been aoeing the murk hard these last few days the drop rates are super low on every thing. From almost never on the undead and serpents to rarely on leaches to uncommon off of bugs. I've given all the quest drops to my druid who is still Dub. I've gotten a lot of people aa's for afk leaching while I 2 box aoe 5-10 mobs at a time. I"ve only found a few quests available to me. (Collecting food types, and bones) I've heard there are others in remenants I can get as dub also but have not done any I heard they were of the likes.

My bigest feedback to this is that its a boring boring grind doing these quests. Atleast put the drops off something more exciting then snakes, leaches, bugs basic tank and spank mobs in a boring drab zone. I actualy fell asleep while rebuffing and medding between ae pulls.
Put in some trigers on the mobs or zone to make it less grind snore fest. Or even some more random named or loot.

The most exciting part of that zone is some times when I kill a mob a random 1/2 dead frog spawns and I give him food or water.

Just some feedback.

Remnants has some long quest lines that give really good faction hits, nice rewards and good XP and you can get some nice loot from the mobs you are killing as well.

Also the raid events in FoB are OK, there is one where you kill a sand beetle baby mob and then more and more sand beetles pop in waves and get harder and harder and its probably T5-7, you need a paladin if you are trying to 1 group it. Some pretty OK items dropped "Beetle Barbute" and some other ranged item that was tank usable but had spell ward but crap stats for a tank.

the murk quest line is unspeakably terrible, as you say. Really, you only want enough murk faction so you can bind in remnants.

if you can get through hatesfurya and want a gate, the refugee quest line is far more fun and leaves in the same zone as cita and bq.

those are the only 3 zones of any value, outside of raid zones, in ikisith.

The Gruplok quests in Murk and Remnants will yield you some good items that you could probably make use of on at least one of your toons:

Decent pieces of gear with good mana, flowing thought and magic damage:

http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/Genklog`s_Scroll_Case

Necklace with the same focus effect as Shield of Freeport:

100% WR 10 slot giant bag:

Instant clicky for summoning water:

Additionally, you can do the Murk spell quest and at the end of all the quests, you will get the Murk gate item or port spell if you are one of the porting classes.

These quests might seem like they draw out, and they do when you are tasked to gather 20+ of the same uncommon drop. Rather than focusing on the mass-killing quests for faction, pick those quests whose rewards interest you and focus on those. Sure, to get the gate item or port spell, you will probably have to complete most of the quests to get the required faction, but those can surely wait.

One bonus to those boring quests is a decent amount of experience you will have gained by the time they are finished.

some other cool ikisith quests/items:

and

Definitely some cool items to snag if you're not twinked out.

Yeah all the new items are really cool but they are a tier or 2 under what I've got. on my 2 main chars. As far as exp goes its moderate but tome exp is always boring.

Should I not even bother with these quest lines if I'm only doing it for the port, And new Druid pet?

The murk spell quest (druid pet) doesn't even have a faction requirement beyond dubious unless something changed since I did it so you should be able to pound that out in a day or so. When you break it down is anything in this game worth the effort? That really depends on the perspective of the individual player.

I think the druid Murk pet is a nice dps upgrade that is surely worth doing.

All the quests give faction towards the gate neck/port spell quest, so do the ones you want first, then do the boring bounty-type quests to get the rest of the faction you will probably need.

"Boehm"

The part you said about Raiding CiTadel of the claw. I know there are 6 man bosses here but you can raid the reg named in there?

This might be a viable option for lower guilds for gearing up with pristine bonuses thats like T3 loot Considering Older content is wiped out for relics, quest pieces,Shits and giggles.

You should definitely do the spell quests. The druid pet does more dps then the necro relic pet.

It doesn't have as much HP though right?

I think zorcids pet has around 7-9k HP with raego on from what I can tell
