I can't remember when it was implemented, but I know on "the Game" that if you put someone on /ignore, then they sent you a tell, they got a message that they were being ignored.

I asked somewhere else, and was told to post it here to see if it was possible with current client. I clean up my ignore list about once a month, and some folks just end up back on it. I'd love it if they got a message so they knew I was serious when I did it, so they didn't just think I was watching tells & not responding. :)

Exactly. One individual I put on ignore on my main, didn't on my miner bot, because she wasn't on at the time. Next time I had them both on, I got tells on the bot from that individual saying that he knew I was just reading his tells on my main, and didn't really put him on ignore. :what:

Nothing major, just asked if it was possible, got told to post it here. ;)
 
I myself have never understood the /ignore command as I guess I am just awesome at not reading things I do not want to read. If you want a message saying they are on ignore, just simply tell them that them sending you tells is pointless as you will not be reading/receiving them.

I was on Phlit's Ignore list.

1 year later we joined same guild (Phoenix Rising <3<3)

I tried desperately to get him to summon me some arrows (3 months)

On a Stormkeep Raid.
"Phlit tells the group, Oh shit Qwai I had you on ignore list for some reason hahah"
"Phlit tells the group, I thought you didn't know english"

IT's a GOOD IDEA. Would enhance gameplay ;)

That's what I did. And was accused on alt of actually watching them.

As Qwai said, it can come in handy. *If* the client is such that this is an easy coding.

Jerk_01 tells you, "Some random BS."
You tell Jerk_01, "Welcome to ignore."
/ignore Jerk_01
Jerk_01 tells you, "hahahah!"
automatic message tells Jerk_01, "Kerolynne tells you that you are being IGNORED!"

As it is, if on ignore, it disappears into never never land. *shrug* Like I said, not a life threatening issue, just a question if easily done.
 
You could keep people off ignore and just make a hotkey replying "Nah nah I can't hear you"

Or you could grow up
 
As I said. This was not about me *not* ignoring someone. I had them on ignore. They chose to berate my bot (next time will be /logs & SS to petition it), saying that I wasn't really ignoring them.

I'd prefer for them to actually know, rather than have to write them down & put on every alt I have whenever I bother to log them in.
 
Do you think someone who was berating you on one char will refrain from logging on another to do the same if a message tells them they are being ignored?
 
It's as if you are trying to just continue the 1-up argument beyond 'i'm ignoring you'

Why do you honestly tell someone that you are ignoring them? And why does it need to continue with an automated message?
 
It's a good idea for the example I provided. If you don't see this, you're clearly an idiot and shouldn't be using up my precious oxygen ;)

It's odd that someone would be on ignore of an officer of a guild they get recruited to on many different levels
 
maybe you should stop filling up your ignor list, and not be so bitter.

there are a lot of really awesome people in this server. sure, theres the occasional /ooc loud mouth*in which ooc is turned off*..but there is not one person that i've put on /ignor.
