I just started and am in dream world, can't give gift to Victim or anyone!

I left click and hold on the leaf gift, it snaps to my cursor. I hover over Victim and left click and it targets her and tells me to right click to consider. No trade window pops up and the gift goes back into my inventory. How do I complete this?

Did you hail each of the npcs to hear their story before deciding on and attempting to give the leaf to the victim? If so did you hail the victim a second time to initiate the text where she will accept the gift from you?

Yes but I will try it again. Anyone to skip this and just get into the game?

No. The quest is essential and without finishing it you will not be able to exit The Dream.
