Hunting Guide All levels

DoctorGonzo

Dalayan Beginner
I see a lot of people asking the question "where should I go at XX level?". I myself am guilty of this at times as well. I thought it would be a good idea to start a hunting guide to help people out. Feel free to correct me if I miss anything.

Level 1-5
Mistwoods - newbie area
Great Divide - Thurg Entrance / Thurg small mines

5-10
Great Divide - Rogue dwarf camps
Warrens - Entrance mobs

10-20
Warrens - entrance area and eventually king room
Shrouded Isle - yard trash
Crystal Caverns - Entrance

14-19
Echo Caverns
Warrens

20-30
Shrouded Isle - Things on first floor of mansion
First Ruins - Rats at zone in
Warrens - Kodiaks
Bancak Mines - Goblins near zone in
Fungus Grove -
Netherbian Lair - Muck Beast/ Dregs

30-40
Shrouded Isle - Basement
Barrens - zone trash
Crystal Caverns - spiders on bottom level
First Ruins - Mobs down the ramp and inside the castle
Wyvernfang Coast - Wyverns
Frosthorn - Cougars and wolves, Gnolls near Tower
Bancak Mines - Goblins, Bancaks, Spiders
Stormkeep - Some giants near zone in
Great Divide - Storm Giant Lego's at fort

40-50
Crystal Caverns - Geonids, Icy terrors, and higher level spiders
First Ruins - mobs inside castle and out in the yard by the ramp
Faentharc - Dullied Geonid

50-60
Mielech's Depth -
Dragon Necropolis -
Sorceror's Lab -
The Deep -

As my characters are currently only level 40, I am not able to complete this list. If anyone wants to post some more suggestions, I'll be happy to edit them into this post.

Thanks in advance, and hopefully this will help some new adventurers out!

In Iceclad (Frosthorn) you shouldn't hunt cougers and wolfs, but the gnolls fishers, they are really good xp untill level 39 as far as I remember. (mainly because they die pretty fast)

bump for all of the newer players I've seen on the boards lately.. this helped me pick some spots to try out early on :)

I'd like to add Echo Caverns for 14-19 or so and Fungus Grove for 20-30

go to shadow haven. where the wizard spires are in shadow haven, there is a shop with alot of doors leaning against the walls inside. look for an illusionary door, you will go through two of them and come out into a cavern looking area. this is the "secret zone" to echo caverns. This is the part of echo that will lead you to fungus grove. The 2nd area of echo caverns is in shadow haven as well through the "dwarf" part of shadow haven. However, This part of echo will lead you to the Deep. It's all one zone however, depending on which entr you take will choose which zone you can go to from there.

Also the shrooms near the Fungus Grove zone in Echo caverns range from level 18-21 or so and are pretty nice xp at level 20 for my monk. No adds and fast spawn = excellent xp.

thanks, but I can understand your guide, sorry  Anybody can clarify to me a way of getting to echo caverns?

zone into shadow haven from nexus

on eqlive there's a soulbinder next to the door you're supposed to go through

inside the house is a hidden wall you walk through

walk through it and you'll zone into echo caverns

id like to add great divide for 1-5 at thurg entrance

and netherbian lair 20-35 or so starting muck beast working up to outcast drags

Level 11 or so can kill in the entrance to crystal caverns. Not sure how high it is good for, but that's just what I've seen.

Fungus Grove was awesome exp at 24 and 25. Single pull mushrooms that barely touch you with blue after blue. They are low blue, but you can kill them en masse for awesome xp. They started to light blue at 26, so I moved to the mutants which are harder but still good xp.

Another update on Fungus Grove...

I was wandering around Fungus Grove, and I found there are some of those fungus fiend things that are 3/4 blue and 1/4 light blue at 27. To get there, you have to cross the biggest mutant camp. They are much easier than mutants and give roughly the same exp.

At 28, I moved to Netherbian and all the muck beasts and netherbians are blue. The muck beasts are easier than the netherbian, but I assume that they will start to light blue at 29, so then its probably off to netherbians.

I may be a horrible player, but... I couldn't handle Warrens below 10. =/ All the mobs are red, and even with a group... you get multiples, and end up toasty.

Just my 2cents! :p

Its isnt your fault, its just this guide isnt quite precise about exactly what lvl you need as a minimum for each zone :p just try each one, until you find one good for you :)

By the way, DoctorGonzo should change some zones there, like fungus grove for eg, people lvl 22-23 can con mobs for grey-yellow, so you should try to make a more specific guide, just to make things easier for people like me

At level 8 a friend and me took warrens, with no problem. Of course this was back in 0.4 when xp was still cool, so we got half a level from one mob:D (I playd 8 chanter, he playd 8 wizard).

on lvl 8 i could solo the a kobolt with my mage easy enough so with a group you should be able to handle a stronger one and a kobolt at tha same time i think
