How to Increase Mouse Sensitivity

If you own an XHD (1920x1200 and beyond) display then you probably get frustrated with the default mouse speed.

Open EQClient.ini and adjust the following line (it's already in there, do not copy and paste)...

MousePointerSpeedMod=0

A value of 1 will double the speed of the mouse pointer. This will support any value (possibly decimals) but anything over 3 is simply not necessary; 2 is more than enough to navigate across a 2560x1600 display in one stroke.

Hope this helps someone out!

Edit: Setting this to 1 is the same as 0 and decimals do not seem to work, so your options are mainly 0 or 2.

This did not work for me; I had to add the string myself and it didn't have an effect on my in game mouse speed. Does anyone have any other tips to increase mouse speed in game? It's taking me three or four strokes to get my cursor across the screen :(

I'm having mouse sensitivity issues but only when I choose to use mouselook. The X-axis look is very slow so looking left and right is just slightly faster than keyboard turning, where as, without changing any settings, my Y-axis look is disproportionately faster, making just the slightest upward or downward motion while running make me almost stare straight up or down.

This is fixed when I zoom out from 1st person, but then I have trouble targetting mobs directly in front of me, since I target myself instead.

Anyone have any suggestion on how to either a) make the vertical sensitivity match the horizontal (and increase horizontal sensitivity) or b) disable the self targetting with the mouse?

EDIT:: I'm running windows 7 if that makes a difference.
EDIT2:: Upon further research I find that my gfx card is the dreaded 8800 that doesn't work well with SoD, if that's the problem, it looks like I SOL since I'm playing on my laptop with the integrated card.

I have found that when I play SoD without EQ Play Nice my mouse sensitivity is very very slow left to right and lightning fast up and down. As soon as I load up EQPN the problem goes away and mouse sensitivity is not only alot faster for left/right but the same in all directions.

Try running EQ Play Nice and it may fix the problem.

Thank you very much, now time to lurk around the forums and find out where to get it and how to use it. :p

Edit: found it, thanks!
