How do I change a name ... don't want to be banned!

My 7 year old daughter made a toon to play a few months back (it's only level 11ish now), and named it Gohku. Honestly I only "browsed" the rules until the recent banfest (I know ima jerkface ;( , but at least I KNOW them now!). She hasn't played in a while, but I am concerned that my account with her toon on it will be banned if she ever logs in again. Is there a way to have her name changed? Can a GM contact me via this thread, PM, or /tell in game to Jayelle or Veruuca to let me know if it does indeed breach the rules? THANKS! :)
 
You won't be banned for having a name against the rules(unless it's utterly ridiculous), just petition about it and when a GM contacts you let them know you're going to log the character in to get it nameflagged.
 
Naming policy violations are excepted from Banfest anyway, so you have nothing to worry about. :)
 
Kids crack me up. My 10 year old daughter made a froglok with a mispelled version of Froggie. She played the character in short bursts, never speaking on public channels and immediatly logging if she heard any ooc discussion of names or GMS :) My mention of banfest was enough to get her to delete that particular toon.

That talk went much easier than when we had to have a family intervention to explain to my 8 year old that a raid full of idiots is not a valid reason to loot the beetle queen herself :) She's now a reformed and responsible raider!

Just curious, what's wrong with Gohku? Sounds familiar, but I can't place it. I'm thinking a character from Star Wars, maybe?

If only you hadn't killed off his jerk trait so early.
