Hitch every 7 seconds?

Everything is up and running after the re-install, but now the game hitches once every 7 or 8 seconds consistently.

Its really just like a hiccup every 7 or 8 seconds. I don't think its the graphics card because I was doing fine with the same card before the re-install. It's a real PITA to deal with, so if anybody has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an antivirus running in the background? They are notorious for making the system stall as it checks every little thing that happens.

I have Norton 360 installed but I thought I disabled it. I'll check again to make sure its totally disabled.

I left something enabled. Disabled it and it seems fine. Thanks BranFlakes!

Can you check your UIError file, it should be in your directory. I had a problem like this before and it could be related to a problem with your UI. You would be looking for an error that repeated MANY many times.
