Hastened Gathering

When I try to spend my appropriate 2 AA's on Hastened Gathering, the points are not taken and the AA is not given to me. I have the necessary prerequired points for Gather Mana. I've tried spending the points while Gather Mana is activated and while it's not activated. Both instances resulted the same way. I'm running Window XP and I use Kerio Firewall. I've done nothing to it though that should affect SoD.
