Hammer of the Depths Suggestion

Since the effect on the Hammer of the Depths does not stack with the cleric vessel of althuna/archaic line of spells its essentially useless for us. I would suggest adding a focus effect to the hammer, in particular Reagent Conservation VII would be nice because its a convenience focus effect and wouldn't have any real balancing side effects. This also works out well since the clicky effect works for only druid/shaman right now and a Reagent Conservation VII effect is pretty much only useful for clerics.

Alternatively if the effect could be made to stack with the cleric self buff line that would be nice too :) To be clear, currently both buffs will land on me, but if I have the cleric buff on me the clicky buff will not increase my heals at all.

The hammer is perfectly fine. And really clerics don't need any more healing power :[

Yeah pretty much making a grab for some reagent conservation since it doesn't exist on any other high end priest items. Only ones I can think of are the arms from that seductress counterpart in PoA and the ring from PoW.

And adding reagent conservation doesn't really unbalance anything, its just a convenience effect.

I would immagine the clicky is more for the druids and shamans...you know the ones who don't have your sweet vessel line of spells

oh fucking really?
The point of this thread is to make the hammer somewhat more attractive for clerics, which RC7 would do while not unbalancing the item.

I think it is fine the way it is personally.

Not every item should be equally good for every class in its type.

Is ther no other cleric usable items on your tier or somthing?
BTW thanks for the grace and poise you used in responding

I wish i had my spell parser handy, but if it stacks that might be becuase the clicky further reduces the agro minuses from vessel line. If you have a comparable hammer out there i would suggest using it instead, this item is meant for those classes w/o the ability to cast vessel

sorry but its already best healer 1hb in the game so not sure it isn't attractive for clerics. They would just get it AFTER the druids and shamans.

there is not a comparable item out there. adding reagent conservation will not make it overpowered. it would add a nice utility for the one class on the item who do not benefit from its primary effect.

I hardly see how an effect of increasing healing power by a large ammount is equally good compared to an effect which may at some point save the cleric a couple plat in peridots. RC has been absent from priest gear for a number of tiers, and this would be a great item to add it to.

Yeah I'm more suggesting this because reagent conservation is entirely lacking for wisdom casters and I would love to have it on any item. The hammer of the depths stood out and a piece that is lacking a focus effect and therefore would be a nice candidate. It also would be following the precedent of the irandos having RC7, not that precedent between int/wis items means anything.

Uhh, wouldn't it just be a whole lot better to ask for RC7 on the cleric thaz bracer? :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:

guyvertoo said:
i would really like a beneficial proc on the bracer more than rc 7
But you want BOTH on the hammer? Why not lower the bracer mana down to 145 or 150, add a beneficial spell, maybe add healing or greater healing as the proc, and add RC7 as the focus effect. :toot:

Too be honest, I'll probably never see a aHammer of the Depths, but I'm pretty irritated that other priests get a Vessel of Althuna like spell!

I'm mad paladins get agro spells.
And that beastlords and enchanters get slows.
And necros getting DoTs wtf this is an outrage.

Yeah, huh? It's not like the hammer is really easy to get either.
