HALP! Cannot patch.

I just got a new laptop, completely formated with a fresh install of EQ Titanium. From here I download the patcher off SoD's mainpage and save it in my C:\Program Files\****\********* folder. The patch file on the main page only comes with the application -- no text files or anything else. This is what I'm greeted by when I attempt to repatch all and run in EQW:

The log file reads:

Yes, I am patching it in the right folder (C:\Program Files\****\*********). When I click yes it just closes the client. However, if I uncheck EQW it starts the EQ client which takes me to the EQ patcher. I followed all the directions for both the new and old patcher to no avail. Any suggestions would be prime. Thanks in advance.

Edit: The link on the main page doesn't include any text files in the download... it's just the patcher.

It cant connect.

It could be a number of reasons why, but the patch server being down unfortunately isnt one of them.

Firewall maybe?
 
Try getting to those files with Internet Explorer. If IE can connect, the patcher should be able to as well. Check your proxy settings.

What do you mean "getting those files?"

Fresh install. And if I click "yes" it just closes the client.


My PC and my laptop are both on the same network. Right now I'm in game on my PC, which runs off patcher version 1.50, oddly. I've also tried just copy pasting my entire **** folder over to my laptop and reached the login screen. However, from there it read "cannot connect to the login server." My EQhost.exe is accurate.

Edit: Firefox works on my laptop, but IE doesn't.

Alright, Internet Explorer on my laptop cannot connect to anything, which is obviously the source of the problem. I do not know how to fix this problem. Any enlightenment would be pro.
 
am sorry i should have read your post all the way though i didn't see that it was a fresh install, However try opening IE going to Tools > internet properties > Connections > Lan Settings from there click on Auto Detect Settings . see if this helps any if not you might want to configure a IP for your laptop instead of using DHCP


Edit:Let me know if you need help setting up an ip on your laptop
