During my time in EqLive, my favorite God has to be Bristlebane, the God of Mischief. I thought there was so much more lore/gm events that could have happened with him as the key player. A time when some developers could have taken out their alter-ego and gone from 'making it a better place for the customers' to 'What's gonna make me laugh'?
A few ideas that has been trolling in my head are:
Faction reversal (All NPC who wouldn't go after you now will, (this would be really interesting in cities) and all bad faction wouldn't kill ya). I know there would be exploit issues there, where someone would walk up to a named/adept mob that would house them by coming within 100 feet...but it would be interesting.
Normally populated zones become PvP - I'm not normally into PvP that much, except I did enjoy some times when my guild in Live went into the arena for a while and just had a good old time.
Recreate some of the Best of the Best fights:
Have a BotB for all
Melee/Hybrid/Casters/Priests
Prize - Something like that fishing pole that lets you right click and have it summon booze, or some goofy fireworks thing and maybe a custom title.
