Halas Newbie Beastlord Armor

I've done the first three bits (Both bracers and and sleeves). And am now working on the shoulders. I've been told the frozen shoulderblades needed for the quest are found on "a frozen skeleton". I've been camping said skeleton for roughly 2-3 hours now and have only killed the skeleton maybe 5 times, never has it dropped the shoulderblade required.

Prior to that it took me 2 hours alone to get the 4 Snow Leopard Sinews.

Basically I just want to point out that this quest seems to take a bit too long, for the quality of the armor; and was hoping that something could be done about the mob spawn rate and/or quest item drop rate.

Who gives out this quest? I went and looked aroun in halas last night and couldn't find anyone.

Apparently there is a level limit cause she won't give it to me. I have completed the quest for the beast hunter's spear that she used to give out but now when I hail her nothing happens.

I can't see anything that would keep you from getting the quest. Did you destroy your spear? And how long ago did you complete the spear quest?

I actually have two of the spears since i did the quest twice incase I needed to dual wield them. I tried giving her the spear back thinking it would trigger her to give some more text, but got nothing.

I did the spear quest around June 15th, 2005.

Alright, I added a hail response just now if you have the spear but completed the quest before flags were added. Let me know if that fixes it(if you still have the spear).

An update to this problem. I just spent two levels killing the frozen skeletons for their deeply frozen shoulder blades, but they didn't drop them. Is there a fix in progress? Thanks.

We thought it was fixed prior to the shutdown, but it seemed that it didnt take. Thanks for letting us know. It has been re-addressed... And should be resolved with the next patch.

My problem from before is still there, I tried hailing her and giving her my spear and she will still not talk to me. Does she only talk during the daytime or is it still bugged?

Now are you talking about after you finished getting your beastlord weapon the Beast Hunter's Spear? If so, just target her and say [protecting the balance]. That should start the newbie armor quest. Otherwise tell me where you left off and I'll see what's up from that point.

When you try to log in the patcher should auto patch for you... Otherwise, there will be a post stating 'on such-n-such date, we will be patching'.

Nevermind: While looking at my profile I realised that I handed the wrong spear to her when I tried it last night. I will try again tonight (with the correct spear :roll: ) and see if it works now.

If I recall correctly, the spear is not turned in at any point... So I wouldn't attempt it unless it calls for it.

I added in an optional turnin to show her the spear(for those that completed the quest before flags were added). You should recieve the spear back in addition to the appropriate flags for that step of the quest. If it doesn't work correctly, petition to get the spear back and please bug it.
