Guestlock suggestion ( :D )

OK, well, I'll keep making an honest effort to improve the game, and you can keep trolling the S/R forum - or all of my posts in any forum, if you feel like it.

Just try to keep it entertaining.
 
Ok well, let me try and keep this simple, since as Stral pointed out, you didn't AT ALL follow what I was saying in the second part of my previous post. So lemme break it down like this, maybe it will be easier to understand:

  • If you do not feel your computer is secure you can switch off guestlock by typing in the guestunlock.
  • If you feel your computer is secure, you can switch off guestlock for your current session with one hotkey.

That is pretty damn simple and doesn't require anything new to be written. Your suggestion is MORE RISKY security-wise, which is why Wiz didn't add something similar (the point of the link.)

Please keep in mind for the future that you can just edit your first post and not post three times and then edit the second two, because multiposts like that are obnoxious anywhere but chillsville.

My solution is NOT more risky, because a guestlock hotkey ALREADY stores your password on your computer.

My suggestion is simply: if the functionality of a guestlock hotkey could be automated, the majority of players in the game would be able to use guestlock on their characters but never have to mess with it again after setup.
 
Maybe it's not worth the devs' time to code. I never claimed to be the person who determines the priority of fixes to the game, but it WOULD be more convenient for players without causing any additional security issues.

By the way, your avatar is starting to freak me out.

no offense to EQJenius.... But you are all sick of his idea's. The guy has got to be sick of us trolling on him? Why not just stop posting in his idea's threads unless their good idea's? That way he won't respond and we won't respond... and WALLAH problem solved. Noone to attack him and he doesnt have to defend. Idiocracy stops!

wow... i take back what i said you deserve to be trolled on.... but anyways my point was its not much a suggestion and request post after its been told it wont work or its not a good idea by the majority and you're the only one fighting for it still. At that point its just spam to get post count up.... looking at your posts its people trolling on you and then you crying about it and then saying the same idea with different words. -shrug-
