Group EXP

When I saw this about the experience system I thought it was GREAT!

Finally, I can make a full group and not be worried about "well, that guys looking for a group, but if we invite one more it will take away from our exp because our group is already killing fast so lets hold off." This definately encourages grouping and is one of the best things I have seen so far here at WR.

Great job GM's! Keep up the innovative thinking because it makes WR great! :)

I personally applaud the exp system as it is fair and works beautifully to allow for duoing and encourage a full group. I have been in PAW lately and with just my monk and shaman...well it is very risky. With a full group the exp flows quickly and risk is lessened. On the other hand with a duo you get to keep all the pp or loot for yourself. So it is not exactly the same either way.

blah i was with you last night ;p your monk was getting owned by the ability bug... it was fun tho =D

7 greatpaws spawned on top of us but we still rocked it

The group experience bonus works as follows:

if one person takes out a mob that person gets 100% of the experience.

if two people take out a mob they each receive 50% of the experience.

the bonus kicks in at 3 people so that:

if three people take out a mob they each receive 50% of the experience.
if four people take out a mob they each receive 50% of the experience.
if five people take out a mob they each receive 50% of the experience.

and so on...

I was actually told by Melwin that it was something more like this...

1 = 100%
2 = 50%
3 = 72%
4 = 69%
5 = 66%
6 = 63%

(The % for 3, 4, 5, 6 may be a little bit off, but I remember being told that a 3 person group actually got more XP per kill then a duo.)

This may seem a bit odd at first, but I think it balances things out. Not everyone can/wants to DC, and if everyone's just duoing, the soloers would have quite a tough time leveling. This is supposed to be a social game, grouping is intended (I prefer grouping over duoing anyday). This doesn't make it impossible to duo your way to 50+, as I did that very easily, in a decent amount of time.

I'm actually fairly certain I was mistaken on that, now. The hard amount of exp gained remains constant.
