Grime Crusted Shofar

I just picked up one of these, and I agree that it needs to be changed (I am a bard).

Comparing it to the flute which drops off Guardian, it has much less AC, HP, and mana, no clicky, etc etc.

The drum from Cmal 3 ( http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/The_Funeral's_March ) is a great example of the kind of item this should be. Simply making it PRI/SEC would turn it into a fine tier 10 caster piece, and then us bards could equip a shield or something when using it to PBAE kite.. which is about all Brass is good for.

Also, not to beat a dead horse since not getting many responses:
March to strife (see glorax) is a drum with a percussion mod that also allows the use of a primary weapon.

If that is primary usable why not the shofar?
 
i don't think woldaff likes people changing his items

You mean hurthi, yeah thats what I want, but this was a good item to have until I could get one. Has conj mod to help pet and ft 2 to help me.

This is obviously able to be fixed. The original post was made almost two months ago. Come on.
 
1) shofar was designed by woldaff
2) march was designed by marza
3) shofar is an instrument, and follows the equip rules of all instruments
4) march is not an instrument, its a held item with a percussion mod

Damnit. Knew I missed something. It's a kick ass item. As a wizard, I'm pretty low on the list for a Hurthi and this would be great in the mean time.

He's talking about the item type for Shofar which is an instrument (subject to instrument casting speed AAs) vs march which is probably just a shield or whatever item type with a drum icon. That's all.
 
yeah i'm not saying i disagree with this thread, the item should either have stats added or make it a non-instrument held item, but it is my understanding that devs don't like changing other devs items.
