Greysteel Chainmail Sleeves - Int?

Hello there,

The Greystell Chainmail Sleeves have a bonus to INT, which makes little sense given the classes that can use it (Ranger, Rogue, Shaman). I was wondering if that INT bonus is intended or if it's a small mistake that slipped in when the item was created...

I think the +1wis/int is just a generic +1wis/int not some sort of hidden plot to make shm/rng/rog more inteligent.
 
INT and WIS are pretty much counted as the same stat, IE having an item with 25 int can have 25 wis added to it without any penalties to other stats. Think of it along the lines of WoW item levels and stat cost.
 
You probably deserve thanks for reporting this before it got out of hand.

I remember a couple of years ago where we had a similar outbreak of tainted items. It took us weeks to track down all the overly intelligent beastlords.
 
Thanks all.  I had a faint hope the INT bonus was supposed to be for another stat...  Well, nuts. :p

ETA: Just noticed that my INT is higher than my WIS... Shame!

If you have pieces of gear that have INT but not WIS feel free to post them. They can be reviewed because like was stated, WIS/INT don't count against each other when designing an item since they offer mana for different classes.

Sometimes different INT/WIS is intentional design though.
 
There is s Kannail Shackles which have +25 INT

and the classes are:
WAR RNG SHD BRD ROG

but doenst have wis
 
But rangers use Wis for mana, so if this is a case of overlooked item, then it should be changed.

If it's intended, then there you go. =)
