its definitely the whole geforce 8 series causing the problem, i get the same texture glitches with my geforce 8800 gts, as are a bunch of other people who own the card and play sod. Geforce 8 series actually has alot of issued concerning alot of the other mmos out there as well.
 
Yup Geforce 8 Series problem, 8600M GS here and it happens everytime i have a corpse, a pc or npc too close to me.

But now i play in third person view mode and it happens less.
 
just curious on who badged your 8xxx series cards. My 8800 ultra works just fine for me until combat. Then I just tap the mouse wheel and pan out from my character and I have no problem. I actually like it because I can see a whole heck of a lot more. My card was sold by MSI. I know some vendors tweak the cards a little. Also has new drivers been released because I used the drivers with my card and havnt updated them. If its working for me I dont want to break it.
 
I got a similar problem, but whenever i start a second client, the graphic bug disappears. Are you guys single-boxing ?
