I think the T-map fished rate for high-end fishing needs some rebalancing. I got my fishing skill up to 244 +6 (3 +fishing items), and thinking I then had the skill to fish moderate tmaps went back to SoS. 4 bags (800 bait later), I had 2 simple maps to show for it. I went back and finished skilling up fishing to 250, then went back to SoS, used another 4 bags of bait, and got no more tmaps.
Each fishing attempts seem to take about 11 seconds. Using a delay of 115 in the button macros seems to be the minimum to reliably fish most attempts. So my 1600 took an absolute minimum of a little over 5 hours of fishing, not including attempts that don't catch anything (which are still significant at max skill), or any delay at all in pressing the button as soon as it is available, and I have 2 simple maps that I can't use to show for it.
This is after spending many, many, MANY hours in PoT and WW to get through the high end skillups. In these 2 zones, skillups averaged about 1 skillup per 2 bags of bait (an absolute minimum of over 1:15 of fishing, again not including no-catch attempts).
For the time involved in getting to GM fishing, I think T-maps should be much more common. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bothered skilling up.
