good place to farm at 65

Hello all, me and my friend were looking for a good place to farm money and xp at 65, we have a monk, shaman, druid and shadowknight, were both fairly new to boxing and were just wondering some good spots we could go hunt by ourselves.

Any help is greatly apprieciated.

See you in game!!

If you provide some character names or fomelo profiles so that we can see where you at gear // AA wise, then I can definitely suggest a few good spots. Without knowing that, the first thing that comes to mid is mielb.

Farm dn rats or harthuks both will be relatively easy regardless of gear and net ~1k an hour for the two of you to split.

monk has 70 aa shaman has 40 sk has 25 and druid is lvl 61, as far as gear we have average at best nothing to write home about

Ok, names good? Kildreth, Fulla, Vantro and Niht, i cant log onto fomelo at work cause watchguard blocks it, its weird cause it will let me on the forums but not on the sod main page, anyways thanks again guys

Alright, the monk/shaman look solid, but until the SK gets about 30 more AA's into the avoidance talents you will definitely be limited in what you can do. Given all of that... I would stick to what was suggested above - DN rats in rat city. You'll get decent exp, good cash drops, and an occasional item. It gets boring fast, but you'll be able to level and farm. Spiders in Lasanth are decent, but you'll run out of spawn quickly.

Once your tank is a little bigger in the AA department then you can tackle some zones like elds, some of mielc, and.... (let me think on this, I'm tired).

Farming is a waste of time unless your gear/AAs can make you kill somewhat fast.

Get a guild to get some decent gear, and when you don't raid go and farm the zones that have been said.

It might sound crude or whatever, but really that's how it goes ; if you cant kill fast, farming sucks.

Try and get some Eldenals / DN rats group going , you will get XP + lewt.

I'd farm anything that gives you exp, pp and valuable drops not just pp and vendor fodder. At 65 one shouldn't be doing hill or ice giants for hours. Harthuks in GD, cyclops in Gorge, names in Mielech B/C, Red Sun Mines, minotaurs and monks in Lasanith, etc. Don't fully expect more as players like to keep something called, camps, to a competition limit to themselves.

Get a (hightiered) guild to get some decent gear.

Fixed for ya.

If you want everything spoonfed to you, then follow Jad's advice.

Otherwise, I recommend looking for various interesting quests, their rewards and the zones they occur in. Farm in those zones, and then youll be killing two birds with one stone-- for instance, farming eldennal medallions for athica gatenecks while earning money + exp.

I was unguilded on Rykke and able to farm up 70k for a nemesis charm -- in no way is it necessary to have a guild to farm, especially if you have friends to group with.

I Lawled hard.

I clearly stated getting a guild, and in no way a high-tiered guild.

Oh wait, but I see your game here. You are ACTUALLY implying that I jumped into a high tiered guild, right ? And that I got spoonfed. Oh, right.
You clearly didn't impply that I joined in may and was actually in Edge before I joined Iratus Lepus. And that AFTER i explored the content, and felt like I could step up, I got invited to post an app on Exodus board.

Clearly this is all luck and it has nothing to do with the fact that I might actually be somewhat decent right ? I guess, I must be lucky if some people talk to me, they don't really have a choice do they ?

To the original poster : Don't be a douche like Phrogg.

I probably help more lowbies than he ever did in whatever the amount of time he's been playing his shitty toon. If you wanna hate so much, then at least have the credibility to flame me.

Keep your temper in check buddy -- the thread's about helping someone, not about your toon or mine

I'm not mad. Your presumption that you can make me mad over a single trolling post is very laughable.

If you don't want me to reply to your garbage trolling, then don't troll. It is uncalled for, just like it was in my thread where I was looking for people to power through adepts. Jut lay it off already. I will never put enough emphasis on the fact that your attitude sounds like misplaced jealousy. You're the antithesis of an elitist asshole but you are as much of an asshole.

The guild is supposed to actually help you make friends and complete some quests when you need groups to do them. Or get the feel for raiding because at some point, you might be interested to do it.

Farming sucks no matter what, but it's never a waste of time in SoD. By your logic he should let a guild carry his dead weight until they gear him enough to farm at a reasonable pace? I'm sure guilds would be thrilled.

I farmed ~50k as a lowbie warrior. Was it a pain in the ass? Yes. Did it take hundreds of hours? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes; I couldn't tank anything without it.

My suggestion is MielC. It won't render the same monetary return as DN, but it offers far and away more exp and a decent amount of cash.

I'm not entirely sure why you are all misconstruing Jadelia's post to somehow mean "go get carried". His/her point is entirely valid. By joining a guild (of whatever tier) you will stream line the process of improving your character.

Fact of the matter, if you can consistently make a guilds raid times and show some dedication to farming AA's and improving your character on your own you are a HUGE asset to the guild. Time is everything in MMO's and yes they may "carry" you to some gear at first, but by being available to raid with them you are also helping them. The largest challenge for a GM and a guild is to find reliable people - not geared people.

Word...

And by '' losing time '' , i merely meant Being efficient.

If you don't like being in efficient, then please by all means... go ahead. Anyway I'm pretty positive everything is said here...

You are right in the sense that you help a guild by going on their raids, however that implies that you stay with that guild over a long period of time and help them progress. This, according to Jade's own statements, did not occur in his case. He guild hopped until he reached a guild at a point in which hopping was no longer useful. Did he contribute to the guilds he helped, yes. However his contributions were negated the moment he left because any gear he may have gotten from them could have went to someone who stayed with the guild.

To address the purpose of this post, I have found that if you are capable farming the Lasanth entrance can yield decent cash. I have also found harthuks in GD to be decent money. The goblins in starfall used to drop decent enough cash for a lower tiered toon as well. Of course, getting a good group in a high cash dropping zone is always preferable and in my opinion more beneficial for you. If you want to stay with people around your gear, cmal progression is decent for that. Sometimes you even get upgrades. If you don't mind getting help from better geared people, then HHK and FR have had some positive results for me.

Note: Lasanth, Harthuks, and Starfall Goblins should be done by no more than 2 chars, otherwise you are wasting potential.

It is absolutely silly to not take advantage of opportunity if you can, and there should be a pretty hefty amount of opportunity soon with the expansion. You'll have all of the heavily geared tomed out people xping and farming their asses off, and many of us are perfectly amenable to letting people leech xps, which will increase your capability to farm.

Also, make as many friends as possible. Network, keep in touch with people. This will make loot, secrets, and cash fall into your lap with astonishing regularity. However if there is a really really good spot, no one is going to say a word publicly about it, as they don't want to see it become too crowded or get nerfed.

By your own logic, every gear given to anyone is wasted because no one stays in the same guild forever. Actually, the server will go down someday, so the gear is still wasted...Hmm. And by your same logic, that also means we all wasted our time right ? ...

The goal of the game is to enjoy it*.

If what I enjoy doing is high-tier raiding and the competitive aspect of the game, you should let me be. I am not harming anyone by doing that. And as far as my '' clan hopping is concerned '' , I still raid with my other guild to help them and I do it free of charge or any items. And I help them more than I ever did because I stepped up into Exodus.

Please keep in line with the thread :)

Regards
