Good 3-character combination?

Oberon

Dalayan Beginner
I'm going to be starting this with a friend soon and I was wondering if anyone had any good 3 class combos. I was thinking something like enchanter/cleric/warrior, or mage/necro/enchanter. Anyone have any others that would work?

Healer/Tank/Pet class should do the trick. Just remember there's other people who play this game too :D

I suggest both of you two boxing.

Warrior / Cleric, Mage / Wizard.

That's a pretty damn sick combo. All the tanking, healing, and insane DPS. Missing out on some buffs...but. And, both of you can two box whenever you want without requiring the other person.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. As to the second reply, my friend has never played EQ before, so I don't want him to try two boxing yet, and don't think he wants to either, which is why the 3 team comes in.

I'm looking at some more combos and the dynamic of 3 is slightly different than 2 or 4, so that's why I'm having trouble =)

Or just cut the crap and go Warrior / Cleric, Wizard/Wizard

Me and my wife duo the following, and it works amazingly well.

Warrior/Enchanter/Druid/Wizard

You can replace the enchanter with a shammy too, but then you cant duo doungeons

Eh. I would go for the mage/wizard so that you can at least have a second tank if needed. (for adds or such)

I'm not sure how duo'ing a wizard / wizard would be all that much fun, to be honest. Sure, it's cutting the crap, but some people like crap.

And it's really easy to two box. The earlier you get in the habit, the better. It's not like this game is hard to play at first... you just walk up to a rat and hit Q. From there, you progress. Unless your friend is seriously missing some genes, I doubt he can't two box.

To pet or not to pet class is a personal preference, but mage/beastlord/druid is one combo I will throw into the ring.

If he plays one of the pet classes, both of you will be able to solo/duo fairly well without the other if the need arises.

Cleric/Pally/Mage would be pretty kickass I think.

But with Cleric/Pally you've got the overlap of spells, making a good portion of the Paladin spell line obsolete.

I'd vote druid/paladin/necro. You'd have puller, tank, bad offtank, healing, ports, damage shield, awesome dots, dd, not bad crowd control, lifetaps, various buffs... And druid and necro are also among the best solo classes.

<--- Sexiest Pal / Dru alive. Any class works with me because I'm so leet skeet. :D

Kaloft the Torhog.

Shaman/Enchanter/Tank (Paladin,Warrior, or SK)

CC, heals, ridiculous amounts of buffs (haste, regen, rune, DS), DoT's, 2 pets (or 3 with SK), nukes....

Whoever plays the tank as the 2nd acct. doesn't matter really. Chanter and Shaman can solo fine on their own as well.

Personally, I've wanted to see a 6 team work out like this

Shammy (SoW and Heals), Magician (Summon Items with procs and such), and 4 necros.

Shammy Necro + Mage Necro + Necro Necro would be killer. 5 pets, then Earth Pet to root mob, with SoW to rape the country side, and enough life steal to stay alive.

So for you, Shammy Necro + Mage Necro might work nice if you love pets. If not, good luck

druid+melee+enchanter=heal,teleport,"tank", slows
shaman+melee+wizard=heal,teleport,"tank", slows
cleric+beastlord+wizard=heal,teleport,"tank", slows
