Found Fix: Disable hyperthreading in BIOS
I just recently replaced my sysbd and reimaged my system. Before this all of my hardware was the same and I ran SoD w/o any problems. At the character select screen my character model glitches around, rotates, seems to fly off the screen and it's also hard to click buttons with my mouse. (buttons aren't moving around but have to click several times) In game I see the same problems with the addition of my character warping (or running ar warp speed). When I try to turn left or right it's super fast.
Specs:
3.4 P4 extreme
Nvidia 8800 GTS
Windows XP
Things I've tried:
- Went through the last 24 pages of this forum
- Searched the forums on this website for video problems
- Updated directx to 9.0c
- Updated video drives (then tried last 2 releases)
- Repatched
- Checked/unchecked EQW
- Tried 4 different resolutions
- Tried a ps2 mouse (seemed to glitch more when I moved the mouse)
I probably forgot a few other things that I tried as I spent about 6 hrs on this last night. Can anyone think of what else I can try? It kinda boggles me that the only thing different is my sysbd and hdd and it's causing these problems. Is it a sysbd setting?
