I am a monk and constantly having to bag them cause otherwise I am above the wight limit is very annoying.

Also could RV cast time be lowered? It seems a bit excessive. Could be one rl hour? Would be nice for my xp groups in HHK cause running there without a neck is very long process

I support this prod... err, wait.

Good ideas. I don't really see a reason for the necks to be particularly heavy, since there comes a time when you want to carry around a number of them.

As for the RV neck cast time... I agree that it's annoyingly long and would love to see it lowered, but there may well be a reason for it being at 72 mins or whatever. I'd be interested to hear a staff comment on why it's so different from the others... is it just the ease of obtaining it? And if so, any chance of removing the recast timer on the upgraded one? (I haven't gotten it myself, but I've been told that it's on the same timer)
 
Making all necks weigh 0.1 or 0.0 seems appropriate enough to me. Unless you're gangsta.

yeah, see no reason for them to be heavier.

and RV neck was made that way because [a certain guild] tried making it their hang-out. None the less, anything more than an hour seems excessive
 
Not just Ruin.

But you can bind in Shadowdale if you're fighting in Highkeep so I never really had a problem with the recast timer.
 
Ruin stopped using it after it was nerfed the first time, like a 15 min recast, we went to Athica. But it was nerfed again to whatever it is now, well after we had changed our meeting spot.

As I recall, three or four guilds were using RV as their fulltime 'home' when it was nerfed.
 
Er, wait. Why is using Rivervale as a meeting spot a bad idea? It keeps them from mass porting out of Athica doesn't it?
 
Its supposed to be a creepy, weird zone and that effect is diminished when there are 15+ level 65s loitering there all day.

B'cos, as mentioned already in the thread, Wiz wanted RV to have a 'haunted feeling'.
It's more important, apparently, that the 1 person per day to go there feels 'haunted' than all the problems associated with raids / mass ports from Athicaa. (leading to nurfs to mass port spells, which work wonderfully with raidbugs to leave people behind when mass porting :monocle: )
 
i think its a real bad nurf to mass ports. Imo the people mass porting should be more carefull. Now its just lame because of the raid bugs. There are some remote spots in every zone that you can use to port from it does not have to be next to a bank.
 
I'm more saddened by songs being raid only, although it is probably for the better in the possible future of faction pvp

Agreeing quite solidly with this. I'm rather delighted that I no longer abruptly find myself in Frosthorn while strolling through Newport.

Idk that I've ever been mass ported more than twice in my years of playing. I do know mass port changes and raidbugs suck weekly. Guess if the guilds were in RV you'd be safe in athicaa :toot:

Yes, pretty much.

Also, it's not like athica is the only zone with a port neck.
 
Grobb would make an awesome guild meeting area, especially just outside the bank where the dwarf is cut in half hanging on a meat hook next to the butcher/cook on the platform.

which would require the guild to go blackscale, and have crappier augs
