Freeport Skeletons

With illusion and AAs, the skeletons are amiable to me. I would like to see the inkeepers, stoerkepers, etc. actually sell stuff to me.

hmm, interesting idea for the start of a 'help us kill these liveing creatures' quest lines for the more evil ones too..

Maybe it's not an actual bartender, but the arisen corpse of what once was a bartender :/.

Business would probably be pretty slow in a town full of skeletons with no innards.

heh maybe a quest for haunted rum kickers, or a help us destroy the man who invented haunted rum kickers quest.

Undead bartender: They're stealing our bones to make it! It's all we have left! We have no flesh, no organs...a soul would be incredibly doubtful with the exception that we clearly feel it's tormented agony on a daily basis. Not a freaking field of daisies either lemme tell ya. Now I have some crazy ass mortal brewmasters trying to chisel off pieces of me to get a party started!!

I remember wondering why I couldn't sell to a skel vendor in Freeport when it was populated. That would be awesome, but I guess the (not so) recent addition of the silver crown at the docks makes the idea useless (unless you' re in bad terms with them).

Not necessarily, if I'm exping in North Freeport it's a pain to run all the way to the docks.

But the skeletons are social, they keep their formal roles, etc. There are undead performers on a stage putting on a show, even. (oddly enough, one of them is "playing dead" lol) I don't really see why they wouldn't buy/sell, except that perhaps they have a hard time finding a supplier :p They could sell stale rations and murky water, etc.

It was just an idea, maybe to further the immersion; maybe just to give my lazy rear food/water.

Why would skeletons stock food and water at all? Maybe they are very thirsty skeletons but I kind of doubt that.

Maybe they don't perceive themselves as dead, so they continue running their normal daily routines as they did when they were alive.

Then they wouldn't attack you when in normal form, would they? Can't tell for sure since I never was a haunted skeleton before...

Unless they harbored some ill will towards people who they don't know or sense that they don't know. Undead. Silly things they are... :D

Well consider this. you're undead and either don't realize ir or don't WANT to realize it. Suddenly some warm blooded fleashy trapses around breaking the illusion and disrupts the daily routine. First thign that comes to mind would be getting rid of the intruder.

What would these folk sell though?
