I was just porting there yesterday. (several times to help a buddy with some MQ running around) so those files must have been added to the sod patcher.
So far this has worked flawlessly and installing sod from nothing to playing litterally takes very little time as opposed to when I started in 2005 lol.
Very happy to see that doing a reinstall will no longer be a chore
Just before Woldaff posted the discussion thread for the new account drive, he announced in game that he had fixed the patcher to work with a live download. I believe he mentioned it in that thread also, for reference.

Wow, I must have missed that. I know it's a silly thought, but I wonder if this would be more stable than my ancient copy on my ancient jump drive. It's one of the older copies from before quad-cores and windows 7. (I think) I have been working on a lot of strange stability crashing type issues with sod lately, and a few others, on my alienware m15x. Recently installed directx hoping it might help, but i will at least try this too. I hope it's more up to date software wise. Same Ui? Is that limited by the sod patcher? Thanks for letting me discover this OP
a reminder for people like me who still have the older game in their program files and updated recently to the free version... make sure you put the patcher in the c/users/public etc folder and not in the original program files folder like i did, then take forever having dll errors etc lol.
