Fragile support spells

Fragile - Breaks up action (Only spell i can really recall being scale of the wolf , maybe due to inexperience but to get that out of the way for people who didnt even know this)

This post sort of reflects upon the mid level experience.

Weve all been in the groups where we have 2 even 3 healers , where half the time only 2 of them actually have to heal and the other is just there incase something does GO bad(I.e main healer gets mezzed or dead'ed)

In that situation there is as sad , not much going on with that person assuming the group is maintaining itself decently , most of these players have the ability to nuke , ect but in the end it just is a waste of mana and doesnt really up the efficiency.

My idea is simply to have spells that can be cast for (X) amount of mana and when cast they are fueled by the fact that the caster is devoting the time/energy to doing that.

In a lore sense a cleric could put himself in constant ~prayer~ and provide a blessing of defense to his group whilst he devotes himself to the act.

while later in the game in raids , most people are to my knowledge active at almost all times.

this would atleast add variety to mid/lower levels, instead of just having all the shamans, druids, and clerics spam healing/greater healing/ or the nefarious superior healing.

How is nuking a waste of mana? If your group really has 3 healers, surely 1 could devote himself to nuking or DoTing.

Filter in resists rates , the fact that you could hit for a whopping 20 dmg instead of 200.

It is not like they are wizards or are meant to do real damage.

I'm assuming you mean 3 clerics (since Druids can DoT/Nuke/debuff, and Shammy's can DoT/slow/cripple/malo/nuke for a little too) in which case you should try hunting some undead :)

You mean channeling spells, in sense World of Warcraft has them? I like the idea, but I think the client restricts us from doing it.

This is a easier way of describing it , however if you can get scale of the wolf on another player youd assume you could swap that out for another effect and or/group effect

Edit: Should rephrase that , its not like wow channeling ;P

Clerics can nuke quite well, I have you know... They can also melee for decent dmg too.

Battle Cleric for the win!!

I'm not quite sure where this is coming from...

All three healer classes can be quite useful even when not healing. Shamans have some great DoTs with very low resist rates (though their nukes suck). Druids have decent nukes and decent dots. Clerics have decent nukes and quite good melee DPS at high levels. If any classes--healers or otherwise--are sitting around at full mana, they're wasting their time and yours. Each one has the ability to dish out fair DPS.

Hell, one of the more interesting groups I've been in was 2 clerics, 2 paladins, a chanter and a shaman. It's hard to come up with a more defensive group, and yet we were getting awesome XP and killing quickly and easily in Fire Grottos.

Ok, I read this a few times over a few days and I finally get what you're Suggesting:

Bard songs for priests that when they cast or auto attack, wear off.

Example group has 3 clerics, one of them casts a spell that buffs the whole group's AC or something until the said cleric heals.

Am I right?

Cookie or Epeen enlargment , which fabulous prize would you like :p

His constant prayer of defense blessing comes in the form of his current AC spells. Since when does prayer provide only an effect while in the act of praying (in a roleplaying or debateable real life situation)?
Healer 'boredom' can be fixed by other means. Adding this will cause balace issues end game.
