Flamelick doing less damage?

Hi all,

I'm a noob here, level 11 halfling ranger, so I always assume that I'm responsible for things that quit working or change behaviour. But I just noticed:

Up until last night my flamelick did 3 damage over time, this morning it only does 2. Same mobs, zone, etc.

Did the spell itself change, or maybe I passed some level mark (1/2 way between 11 and 12) that rendered this spell less powerful for me?

Its not a big deal, but its kinda bugging me (I'm sure you understand, lol)

Was it raining in the zone? I'm assuming with the weather changes, rain would cause this spell to do less damage.

there are a few things that can affect spells

the day it is ingame
the time it is ingame
not sure if weather affects it or not if it dose go go druids stop rain doing something

Yes, it was raining this morning when I noticed it. That's pretty cool! Weather effects /em Boggle

They just added in the weather effects, so that's why I suggested it.

So how did you find out that they just added weather effects? Is there a change log that I could check so that I can stay informed, and then I don't have to keep apologizing on this forum for being a noob? :keke:
(I know about the general announcements on the home page of sod.com)
Thanks!

Rain increases lightning and decreases fire damage moderately.
Snow increases cold and decreases fire damage moderately.
If it's neither raining or snowing, fire damage is increased a little.

Does this mean that fire damge is generally incresaed in indoor zones (Cmal, Prison, Thaz, the planes...)?

Correct. This is partly made up for by the fact that fire is the most common resistance on NPCs.
