Fixation of Tarhyl

Tecnodoc

Dalayan Adventurer
I suggest adding a cold debuff to the druid "Fixation of Tarhyl" line. As cold right now dosent have any debuffs other then malo and the ranger murk spell (neg25 cold).

before
Spell: Tarhyl's Burning Disjunction
Resist type: Fire
Resist adjust: -100

Slot 1: Decrease Armor Class by 60
Slot 2: Decrease Resist Fire by 66 (L56) to 68 (L65)
Slot 3: Decrease Current Hit Points by 150
Slot 4: Decrease ATK by 30

After
Spell: Tarhyl's Burning Disjunction
Resist type: Magic
Resist adjust: -100

Slot 1: Decrease Armor Class by 60
Slot 2: Decrease Resist Fire by 66 (L56) to 68 (L65)
Slot 3: Decrease Current Hit Points by 150
Slot 4: Decrease ATK by 30
Slot 5: Decrease Resist Cold by 66 (L56) to 68 (L65)

Fire is already debuffed by this line. Magic is debuffed with tash and extra debuffed with the bard epic dot. Disease is debuffed with Scent of the Murk and Insidious Decay. Poison is debuffed with Scent of the Murk - Poison may also need more debuffs, im unsure of this as i am a wizard.

I know of this spell. It only last for 3 ticks though. So it isent a true debuff. Also it has the problem of being fire based and easy to resist. A druid would need to cast this and nothing else to keep it on the mob.

Add bard frost chant

Ya that is true. there is the occlution of sound aswell, magic, fire and cold. I still say that cold need to have the same debuff that fire and magic has.

I dont kown. Is that a stupid request? I seams like it is just missing to my eyes and that no one really thourght about it. It only really helps out wizards who has archaic and druids with relic. Just dont see why there isent one.

I'm happy that everyone agrees that this debuff is missing.

As an afterthought:

Since Druids are using cold as there main form of dd dmg when they get relics. It may fit better to give anothere class this debuff. Like the mage, the enchanter or the shaman. And of course druids just got a major change.

Add bard frost chant

Or add it to bards =)

I Ment add it to something like the relic dot. I may be wrong but I think useing this song would stop the bard from doing othere songs. Or increase the duration on the Tuyen's Chant of Frost to something like that on occlution (60sec).

Bards are already crazy powerful enough, I don't think giving them even any more of an advantage would be very smart.

Listen guys, you might want to sit down for this. I can make chant of frost last for over 60 seconds (ladies feel free to call me). ALSO occlusion has stacking issues just like it's normal spell counterparts and is a pulsing song just like chant of frost.

So you can run this song all the time Rorne and it dosent cost you one of your othere songs? Im no bard so im not to sure how this works.

No I am saying both occlusion and chant take up a detrimental slot but occlusion has stacking issues so between the two when it comes to resist debuffing you're probably better off running a chant and if you are running it generally you can keep it on indefinitely. Really I don't think any bards would have a problem running something like frost chant to help a wizard out, just ask, it's sort of in the job description.

Bards are maybe the most powerful single/double resist debuffers in the game right now.

That is a great tip, thanks man. I'm on a quest to make this statement less true;

As far as wizards go, their current situation is a little odd. They are not ideal in groups because of the massive mana usage w/o any significant ways to recover it and the fact that they pretty much have zero utility. Many classes who may offer somewhat less DPS but more overall utility or more total damage throughput tend to be more attractive in many situations.
That said, you will be king big dick on the DPS charts in most of your raids until you hit Thaz tier. In Thaz depending on encounter you should be among the top DPSers but the distinct advantage you once had is gone. In late ToT you'll start to wonder why a class whose only job is DPS is getting blown away by classes who also get cool shit like mez/fd/pets/rez/blah blah.
There are plenty of Wizards on the server...most are currently retired. Heres to hoping the expansion addresses some issues that are long overdue.

Think there is still a hole there where it holds Nwaij. Something like; from 7000mana to 8500mana, Tier7-10. And it is mainly there I play around anyway. I think you are like the one that offsets the balance, I also think you are close to 200% my dps.
