Fishing Nerfed?

Has fishing been intentionally nerfed?

Just before I went on holiday in late Febrauary I would fish an average of 1 D/VD map and 1 other map (usually a simple) in about 2 hours. Sometimes instead of a high level map it would be 2-3 lower level maps.

Since returning I have fished 1 Dmap in 6 weeks and a modest supply of lower level maps. This now appears to be outside the realms of statistical bad luck.

Please could you let us know if this has changed. I remember that there was a fishing thread but couldn't find it by searching.

I remember there being a change to fishing. Sorry but I am not sure when it was and what exactly changed.
Sell me those VD maps you get :)
 
Well since the nerfs on fishing

I gave up on fishing i dont even fish my own maps because it sucks so bad!

1-2 maps per 400-500 worms is a waste of my time... and that if i am lucky
 
You're just having bad luck with the RNG. I'm getting about the same fish rate for maps as I have for quite some time (certainly long before February).

The only maps that have changed anytime in the recent past were VD maps and ED maps. VD maps were lowered slightly, as they had the same fish rate as D maps, and to account for the re-introduction of the ability to fish ED maps.
 
You may just want to review rates there seems to be a shortage of VD maps atm. You may want that tho.

I think everything is fine except I have not seen any VD maps lately at all, perhaps Goldfolk is right about them.
 
Tried again today 3 hours got 2 E maps. I have also noticed that price of VD maps rising. Are you sure the rates are right.
 
"parses" of fishing are more useful in terms of bait used than hours, I would think. I also think that 3 hours is not nearly enough to draw any kind of conclusion.
 
when i first hit 250 fishing i fished SoS and with around 60 stacks of bait i would get about 8-10 assorted maps of which 1-3 would be D/VD. I even got 2 EDs in a day, on 2 different occasions, which i would agree was either insanely fucking lucky or needed a nerf.

Then one day a few weeks ago with the same amount of bait i'd get 4-5 maps if i was lucky (on my last 4-5 fishing trips) most of the time it was 2 or 3 and 2D/1VD on all the trips combined, never any ed. I haven't fished lately due a combination of badluck (or nerf), playing less, having to box on raids or just not raiding.

I could of just had a nice streak of good luck (which bought my charm!) followed by a streak of bad so who knows.
 
Wasn't just quoting 3 hours was just commenting that trying again hasnt improved things. If you want proof, look on listsold and see how many VD maps there for sale used to be loads not anymore.

The fact that some people have been recently buying and doing VD maps doesn't mean that they need to adjust the fishing rate on them. If they're sold out, they're priced too low.
 
Are you saying that as demand increases for an object available in limited quantities, that the price for them will increase? And as the quantities available decrease, the price will increase?

That sounds like economics.

Looks like it is time to invest in a few maps.
 
different types of bait with fish mods on them....That sounds interesting but don't stat effects from the inventory have to be food/water related? So would we need to make it possible to eat bait?
 
Edible bait..

I'm all for edible bait regardless of fishing mods.. Maybe special bait that you loot off your corpse for the mods, or necro summoned bait that bites back?
