Field of Bone

was that the giant crock that had a boat load of HP's we tried to kill?

Yes. I'm not sure if you were there when we finally did. Think you may have been there when I convinced gono to come over, tried to duo it, and then found out it ramps up damage quite a bit midway. We came back later with the guild and stomped a mudhole in it. But it immediately respawns. Really fun spammy healing fight though.

Considering that approximately 100% of the game is like this, I'm not sure why we couldn't..?

Nothing in the game really tells you about any raid zones, outdoor raid mobs, tmaps, etc.

tl;dr I just told you all of the loot and exactly where everything is in this very thread. If that isn't good enough for you, then fuck off.

This is quite the professional way of handling things.

Sorry I wasn't around for the 100 other post about this zone I took a 2 year break right when Iki came out. Since there have been 100 other posts about this zone I would think we can come up with some better discussion points.

All I'm doing is pointing out some of the issues myself and what sounds like many others have had with the zone. Every one and their grandmother that have been around in this game now know all the strats and whats what in Iki but this is a Low tier zone expect new players to go here. Comparing the level of expertise/difficulty in this zone compared to other entry raid areas I can see why this gets over looked.

I'm giving you Suggestions and Requests for this zone from my guilds experience. You respond to me with this post. Yes you also pointed out every detail on the zone but that isn't what I'm suggesting. I'm just saying that a simple NPC or group saying
"Hey this is an ikisith army staging area our scouts have detected ____________"

Apparently we started with the hardest least balanced fight that was my bad. We figured White KOS iki would be a good start for a raid and we were wrong.

I've played just about every MMO out there and have made some games myself. I guess I just expected a better discussion on this as to how to make this zone more used for its intended purpose.

I only have only briefly experienced the content on that tier of 6-7 With the exception of Thaz, thanes, and a few ToT bosses are all burried in the backs of zones. I could be wrong but that is just something I noticed. It might be nice having something in that tier Start at that tier from zone in - to finish or end at like 8 or 9. However I don't think an outdoor zone would be a good display for this. I get the feeling that the content being this easy to get to will leave it more available to those who do not need it I.E. Thaz 2.0

Which brings back the leave it to a lower tier. Due to the fact most T1 stuff is already getting over looked for its loot drops and killed only for ancients I would say maybe 1-2 is a bit to low of a tier. Also taking in to consideration what I mentioned earlier that getting a raid to Storm keep or WW or Poair is much easier then to Field of bone. I know its doable to get to FoB without invise or SoW. But I don't think its reasonable to expect them to do all this when they could go elsewhere.

I would probably recommend Tier 2-4 ,This make for a nice Ikisith army staging/training of lower commanders and trainers. There is a good amount of content in this tier already but I think this is the tiers where raiding guilds actually become guilds. You can no longer 12 man targets they actualy have HP pools and start doing real abbilites. not jsut AOE, or Rampage, or Flurry like T1-2's

With the Entry to the zone and a brief intro to whats going on. I personal like CoMercy guidance (Yes I know the zone Dead-ends). there is still a good amount up in the air as to whats going on but you get to meet 2 guides and they tell you why you and they are here. There is a little bit of story tie in about an ex lover and all that. Given most raid zones indoors have some structure to know whos who and whats where just by design and room layout. You don't really get that sort of luxury with outdoor events.

Every one knows the deal with Iki as a whole but you can still tie in little events to individual npcs. if you want I can send you some PM's and maybe discuses npc dialog or another means of structure.

This is a huge spoiler: there is a mob in prophets that will teleport you to field of bone. (in case you really find it difficult to get past those wolves)

Also I have killed all of the mobs now and enjoyed it. So thanks for making things zaela. Maybe someday I will get Scum Alt Group to go and actually fight it again.

I didn't think about tie'n mobs together.

Super out there suggestion. What about something like Merlow event with waves. Sound an alarm and it sends troops at you that you fight till you tell a npc wiz to port you to safety. Pending on how many waves you cleared would depend loot after the port took place.
Port would despawn all the waves and Evac the raid to zone where you would get reward. You could keep the named in the zone as they are or remove them and add them to the encounter.

And to Trigger the event you have to farm mobs in the zone for some charms or dogtags to be able to start the event. With an internal Cooldown of 24-48 hours to prevent it from being locked down.

This would make the zone in high demand for every tier.
Just an idea, I know something like that would take a lot of coding.

I'm not saying the zone needs an overhaul this great just a out there suggestion. Next raid I do with my guild we'll go revisit FoB and start some where other then taskmaster. if you want I can petition for you to watch us.
