Few questions...

Well, i bought EQ Platinum a few months ago, never even installed it yet. I never even played EQ before, so i thought i'd try it out here, since these servers seem to be free, which is a cool way to try EQ for the first time.

Well, my main question was, if i wanted to play on SOD, do i need to install EQ plus all of the expansions, or do i just need to install the original EQ?

2. Run EverQuest.exe and let the EverQuest patcher do its thing. IMPORTANT: Click the "Advanced" tab and select all expansions up to Lost Dungeons when patching. This is necessary to be able to play the server.

a) Preparing Everquest

NOTE: If you already have Everquest installed and fully patched to live, skip this section and proceed to step b.

Install Everquest®
Run EverQuest.exe and let the EverQuest patcher do its thing. IMPORTANT: Click the "Advanced" tab and select all expansions up to Lost Dungeons when patching. This is necessary to be able to play the server.
Optional but Recommended: Go into your game folder and delete the entire /maps/ subfolder. This is so that you will only have SoD map labels.
