What most people don't realize when thety suggest a new item or string of quests is that; No matter how minor it may see as an upgrade or clicky we will do it.
This "Epic Quest" may involve hundreds of hours of mind numbing BS for an end result it with a unique effect, that can be used in one situation in the game, and may have some pathetic stats.... but we'd do it. Just to say its one, and if ever that situation came up you were ready.
Of course the quest itself would consist of mega rare drops from perma farmed encounters, to make it the real status symbol.
Everyone underestimates the allure of a "unique" anything available to all.

Why does a quest have to be terrible. A quest that is actually fun to do for a small but possibly unique reward must be a better idea than a quest that is super long, tedious and boring but is required because of the strength and uniqueness of its reward. Very few people actually like doing the Vah quest but since people see it as somehow required, they do it regardless of how terrible they think IT is.
