This is a simple suggestion , It would be nice to add the ability to prevent your character from eating food , negative side effects or not.

The reason is simply to prevent unnecesary eating of ingredients you might intend to use , Or to save certain items like the FT water.

There is an aa (costs 3 to max) that makes you eat 50% less food!

My train of thought: If you need the item for tradeskills, make sure to put it in your bank. If you are hoping to save a single stat drink (IE: the FT1 drink), making sure you have another less important drink to pound down the moment you log in and periodically while you play is a small price to pay IMO. I'm thinking that creating an a way to fast would kinda defeat the idea behind limited stat food/water etc. Not a final say, just my 2cp.

What are the penalties for running out of food and water in SoD anyway? Shouldn't they be enough to make it so that everybody would make sure to always have a few extra snacks on hand?

one makes you stop regening mana.. the other makes you stop regening endurance (maybe HP too) so matter who you are its always best to buy food

thirsty = no mana regen
hungry = no sta regen

Not eating or drinking should start to kill you regardless IMHO and don't just go with one stat, I'd think there would be no mana regen, endurance regen or health regen.

I am a warrior and I have not had a drink in over a month... and the last time i had a drink it was because my wife was using my character and couldnt stand the thirsty messages )
