Expansions really required?

Ok so I know in the starting guide it says SoL and all that are required but do you really need them? The updated graphics from SoL don't seem to work on WR and I don't think I've seen any content that isn't from regular EQ yet. I was just wondering because it takes a lot of HD space to have all the expansions installed too.

I never use luclin model (they stink) but i read that they works if you press and hold enter to actually use the model or something like that.

other than that, it's used for Fungus Grove, echo, the deep, haven, etc..

If you zone into a zone you don't have, you get booted and unable to log in and you'll be forced to download the zones anyway.

So just do it.

Hmmm... so then is there any way to get the updated models and textures working?

If you want Velius textures go into your eqclient file and change Loadarmor to

LoadArmor17=TRUE
LoadArmor18=TRUE
LoadArmor19=TRUE
LoadArmor20=TRUE
LoadArmor21=TRUE
LoadArmor22=TRUE
LoadArmor23=TRUE

If you want SoL graphics, choose them and press enter instead of navigating your cursor to the "next" button, or whatever.
