I keep getting this error after clicking "Play EQ". I read on the forums and someone suggested to download the full repatch that was released and try again. I did that but I'm still getting the error.

If it helps, I installed the "Platinum Edition " set of expansions, and have not changed the UI files at all. Thanks.
 
I just read the following in another thread;

You need to have all the expansions up to GoD.

So either go out and buy Titanium package, or install your PoP disc and patch all the way to EQlive

I read in another guide that you DON'T need to patch using EQLive if you have up to POP. Do I need to patch fully after installing up to POP, or just use the SoD patcher?
 
I'm having the same problem. How do I patch up to GoD now? I remember doing this when I installed the game (again) in July, but they've changed their patcher.. How do I customize it to go to GoD?
 
The new launchpad will automatically patch up to and including any expansions it shows you have. If you do not own the actual discs it will not patch up to GoD.

Same error here, which led me to this thread. I also was under the impression that I only needed up to PoP in order to play, from the first sentence on this page:

I have the individual discs up to PoP --- but I got GoD as a digital download. When I get more time, I'll activate my account and try to download GoD, and see if it works then...although I got through the patching process, it's when I click "Start EQ" do I get the error. This reply isn't about my own problem though, I'll post new later if the digital download doesn't fix it, but I wanted to point out that the link above does say, "In order to play Shards of Dalaya, you need an EverQuest expansion pack with expansions going up to Planes of Power minimum."
 
That's a subject to change. Currently you can play just fine without more than up to PoP, but zones up to GoD are being implemented.
