Error Issues apon logging ingame

Hi, My toon Exks on the Kobisson account recently has been experiencing errors. During a Tmap over a week ago I used the /refresh command and my client crashed while he was in the refresh zone. After this happened my toon crashed every time i tryed to log him in. I /petitioned in-game for some one to move my char to his bind point (Athica). Some one answered my petition and moved me to Athica but I am still getting the error when I attempt to log him in. Ive spoke to many people in-game about this problem and most are saying that I need some sort of character reboot or somthing like that in order to get him to log into the game again. I've been trying to get ahold of a staff memeber for over a week by /petitioning in-game but no response still and my character is still unable to log in fully! Please get back to me ASAP I really miss my toon Email- REDACTED or in-game ALT = Nelfein

I don't see anything obvious that would cause you to crash immediately on that character. For starters, though, let's get some more information on what's happening.

You said "my toon crashed every time i tryed to log him in" and later said "getting the error when I attempt to log him in". Can you be very specific about what you mean? What exactly happens to your client and on your computer, when does it happen, etc. Details, please.

If you are getting an error message, mention that. If you computer turns all the way off, say that. If there is an error message on your screen for between 5 and 7 seconds before your computer turns off, mention that too. Not all crashes are created equal.

The type of error im getting is right after i hit the enter button in the character select screen. All the error says is "Everquest has detected that client has crashed." after that pops up the client goes black and the only thing I can do is ALT+F4 to shut down the program.

If it's that message, it's almost certainly something on your end.

Try a complete, full, fresh, reinstall. Then attempt logging in multiple accounts, multiple characters on the account Exks is on, taking other characters to the exact spots that Exks has crashed and looking around at the ground, sky, buildings nearby, and anything else remotely close that might use a texture in a potentially corrupted texture file.

While you're reinstalling, try to remember EVERYTHING that you did before this began happening. Did your computer get a virus? Did you install any new programs? Did you experience an electricity surge or outage? Were you 2-boxing? Did you use /q, /camp, Alt-F4, End Process through the Task Manager, hard reset your computer, or do something else to stop using the game? Did this first begin in the middle of a gaming session when simply switching accounts? Had you eaten bacon within the previous 48 hours? Without anything to go on, nobody can help you, so make notes and provide every tiny piece of information you can.
