error entering game

greetings all

quick question:

yesterday i tried connecting for the first time. i logged in fine, saw the char selection screen fine, clicked new character, created a new toon, it then showed up on my charlist. once i selected it and clicked enter world, it minimizes the eq window for about 5 seconds, then it pops back up and it logged out at the main eq screen with the dual wielding berserker and i connect again, click my char, enter world, kicks me back to main menu again.

i've repatched all multiple times, ive tried running the game with eqw pointing to eqgame.exe, ive tried running without eqw, tried with playnice, tried without playnice. im at a loss here friends any idears? i would love to play when i get off work for a few hours

Do you have the correct map packs? nightmareb, vexthal and vexthal2? I think you might need nightmareb if its your first time logging in a fresh character..

hey, thanks for the help, i repatched again (for the 5th time or so i think) and it did indeed download a missing file. i guess since my latency is so slow the patcher has trouble working right
