EQMAIN.DLL - fuxxored

I run the game and it comes up with an error that says it could not open eqmain.dll. It suggest dleeting it and/or contacting SOE support (bwahaha...support...oh that kills me)

I have no idea how to fix this damn thing. I tried deleting it and copying over the one from my working install on other machine...no good.

I then tried deleting it and repatching with SoD patcher. No good.

I then tried deleting it and repatching via EQ and then repatching via SoD. No good.

I then reinatalled the game and used the "repair install" function from Velious and SoL.

After that I repatched via EQL and then repatched all via SoD. NOTHING WORKED.

Any ideas? This really sucks...

I solved this problem...

Finding the log of errors that EQ encountered when attempting to start, it appeared to be an "out of video memory" error. WTF? I have 4 whole megs on that alt box...

Hey...4 megs of video WILL run EQ and it does. I just had to remove the desktop wallpaper and it actually made it work. Haha...oh so ghetto.... I need a new alt box... the ol' screamign fast P2 400 with 4mb video just ain't cuttin it...



Hopefully this info helps anyone out there who may have run into this. Although I'm sure it's rare.
