Enchanter curse change

If you want dps as an enc convince ppl to let you use charm :)

That new charm that was added seems pretty sweet to me.
 
I am not wanting more DPS. Unless it's a dire charmed mob on a raid you don't use it unless it's for emergency crowd control. Most places the mobs are immune to charm or to high anyway. Trying to hold a pet with random charm during a raid increases the chance to much for a wipe otherwise.

The point that was made was that enchs were getting more dps than a wiz is still crap. Saying the dmg done by other players with the curse is the same. By that same logic, does enchanter DPS go up cause we give melee's VoG? A melee can attack 70% faster and do alot more damage than just his normal attack. Enchanter DPS goes up for casters, cause we can give them mana regen which allows them to nuke more often. Does that count as well? Sorry but I don't buy it. The curses only work if there are people there to do the damage. Enchanters manipulate, we don't vaporize or assasinate. I stand by my original post
 
Yes, Cham, giving DPS adds to the total raid DPS. That's already calculated. But adding VoG AND constant cursing on the mobs was too much. Curses could be chained to increase the DPS expontially. VoG can't.
The fact is, enchanters were giving the raid too much DPS with curses. (We're talking about raids here. If you note WIz's post, he made an analogy that "The equivalent would be giving SKs rogue DPS on raid mobs". RAID mobs.)
Adding another enchanter to the raid meant another several ticks of crits, which is MORE dps than you would get from adding another wizard to the raid. So yes, enchanters were giving more total raid DPS than wizards. Granted, if you had a raid entirely of enchanters, it wouldn't be... but that's not happening anytime soon.
