Duo Question

Hate to beat the dead horse further but I need your guys' wisdom.

What would be a better combination? Monk / Shaman or Beastlord / Cleric.
I'm looking to have a great all around group with a decent tanking/dps class and a decent healer. Edging towards Monk/Shaman because high level shamans can sustain healing for longer periods of time. Were looking to do a lot of dungeons and take on some mini bosses as we progress through levels. Oh, and I have a decent amount of plat to spend on twinking.

This will not be for two boxing, I have a friend playing. However, if you think I should box a second character, feel free to mention good three class combos. I'm a long time EQ veteran. So if boxing is the better way, then so be it. The other player is new, and I will assign him the simplest of the three classes =P.

Thanks!

The monk, solely because he can split. You'll need it in the dungeons!

Would the monk also be the tank? Or is there some way for the shaman to pick up agro via cheap spells?

The monk would be the tank, yes. Neither the shaman or the cleric will make for great tanks, though at least the cleric can wear plate mail.

well a decently geared cleric with HoT on can kind of tank... generally your going to use that monk to tank if you go with that combo.

If you truly can play three characters I would recommend you to play the sham/monk combo and have your friend play perhaps a heavy DPS or CC.

Necro would be perfect - he would add a huge amount of DPS, Crowd Control and Utility while still allowing you to duo on your own when you wish.

Other than that you really can not beat sham/monk for versatility in 80% of situations besides maybe shadowknight/monk.
