Duo/Group Experience

I am fairly new to WR, I thoroughly enjoy this server.

I play a Druid and a Monk and it is becoming more and more difficult to keep them at the same ammount of exp. When one has leveled past the other, it seems the character who is one level higher gets a substantial ammount more exp per kill which in turn keeps them further appart (perhaps 25%:75% or 33.3%:66.6% split).

I am really fond of the anti-power-leveling strategies, but such a vast difference in exp gain is a nuisance.

I waas wondering if there was a list or chart with regards of how exp is shared when duoing/grouping with real numbers, as well as the level difference between members in a duo/group.

IE:

Two level 30 characters group and kill a mob for 100exp split 50/50 (presumably)
One level 30 character and a level 31 character group and kill a mob for 100exp split X/Y.

I think that my problem with my monk/shaman combo is that the monk is a human and humans get exp at a much faster rate. There is a two level difference between them at 25. I can always fd the monk right before the mob dies and catch the shaman up a bit.

It slightly works like this, but it's not as exagerated as you're saying. And it's not because they are different levels, but because of the human exp. bonus. If you're playing an Iksar, then I suppose that's why... All I know is I would out level a woodelf by 10 % every single level. 10 levels later, you're ahead by 1. Granted that's no where close to anything, it's just a raw number.

As far as I know, to answer you question, the higher levels will get more exp., but within a few levels it doesn't make much of a difference. It works this way because you gain exp. in proportion to the highest character in the group. So if you're a level 10 in a group of 65's, and they get 1 % per kill, you will most likely get close to 1 % too. If you were 59 hunting with the 65's, you'd get 2 %, maybe 3, depending on what you were killing. So the closer you get, the difference is changed because you can actually contribute and such. I mean this explains it horribly but it's pretty much common sense.

Are you dying on one more than the other? Figure you would die more on the Druid with your Monk's FD.

I have the same problem with my Barbarian Shaman / Ogre warrior combo. My warrior seems to gain exp at a much faster rate, he was origionally a few levels lower than my shaman and he dies much more often than my shaman, but somehow he passed my shaman by a full two levels, i've had to spend the past ocuple days killing stuff then zoning for the shammy to finish off to get them the same level again.
