Dual Wielding in SoD

So does a 2h weapon with a ratio greater than 1 always beat out 2 mnk/bst fists? If not when do the 2h weapons start to beat them?

This bit is really about your own experimentation. I always felt that 2h's tended to be slightly superior than 1h on the same tier, but I'm sure it varies to some extent. The nice thing is that there are reasons to use both besides straight up dps. If you don't want to parse the difference, just go with your instinct on which is better.

What if you had a 3/6 main hand with a 26/48 offhand, how does that work? (Experimentation)

Your main hand would swing every 6 units of time. Your offhand would check your dual wield skill every 48 units of time. If your skill is high enough you will attack and if not you won't attack.

The main difference (or at least used to be) is that on SoD the offhand is completely independent of the mainhand whereas supposedly they are (were?) linked on live in some way which made high delay weapons crappy in offhand.

I honestly don't remember the specifics but it was something like that.

iirc on live delay on offhand meant absolutely nothing, offhand only took into account the base damage and would only fire if the dual weild check passed. they tinkered with things enough tho it may not always have been like that, i missed a few years at the beginning.
