Druid AA Quick Evacuation

I was looking foward to this AA cause every once in a while things get hairy and it would be easier just to evacuate to another zone, alot of the zones I XP in have monsters that summon you, and the standard succor never seems to clear aggro so the tank (usually Volkov) gets resummoned immediately after a succor and I only have time to zone Korben and hope Volkov stays alive long enough to Feign Death.

But when I bought this AA, it appears to only shorten the succor time on the standard succor spell, making it worthless for what I wanted it for. Could it be changed so that the AA effects the cast time on all the succor spells (to another zone etc)? Its an expensive 3/6/9 AA so it kinda ticks me off that you spend 18 AAs on what equates to affecting one spell (2 if you count the self evac)

edit: upon reviewing the description of the AA, it does make it sound like it affects more than just the standard succor/evac one. So maybe its a bug?

If the mobs are dotted, or likewise, you'll get aggro again. Also, might want to take off autoattack before succoring.

Doesn't this kind of defeat most of the point? Groups I'm in usually succor after a fight has started, when a key class (MT, enchanter, healer) goes down. Between the DOT-using classes and procs from weapons, at least one of the mobs has some sort of DOT on it most of the time. About the only time this won't happen is if it's just a clearly overwhelming pull, which rarely happens.

If this is somehow unavoidable, I'd like to suggest changing succor to be more like it was on live, where you "zone" during a succor to clear aggro. It would make the spell less useful from a transport standpoint, but more useful for an emergency escape (which I believe is what it was designed to be).

Just don't load succor and be hardcore like me.

This, plus also "never put yourself in a situation where you might reasonably be expected to die even if you don't make mistakes / there are no bizarre extenuating circumstances (trains, bugs, insane resist streaks, et cetera)".

edit: Not that this has anything to do with the AA being bugged, it's just a personal thing.

Quick Evacuation, This is a passive ability- "This ability reduces the casting time on your evacuation and succor spells by 10, 25, and 50 percent."

Exodus, Refresh Time: 1:12:00-"This ability gives you the ability to cast an extremely fast-casting, no mana cost evacuation or succor spell."

Druids and wizards get both these class AA. QE only effects lesser evaculate/ succor and evaculate/ succor.
It doesn't affect abscord, egress, or any of the zone specific evaculate/ succor. Occassionally mobs summoned me, be it solo or in group, after either form of evac. As I recall I didn't have any debuffs or DoT on them and if a caster they weren't in the process of casting. Exodus is an AA best buy since it's instant for yours or your group's extreme evac situations.

Here I saw the title of this thread and thought I was going to read about an herbal laxative... imagine how saddened I am now. ;(

Thanks for this.

Anyway, My request is still valid, just hoping for an official response before I buy the next rank of whatever AA. If its not going to be changed, I'm buying exodus, if it is, i'll finish out the final rank.

I totally agree with the serious points raised in this thread. Maybe I'm going a bit off topic from the initial concern about out-of-zone evacs, but the underlying point is what is of interest to me. I really think evac spells should clear aggro. Maybe there is some underlyign reason they don't, but I have no real idea why this might be the case. It really sucks when you actually have to evac, then get it off only to see a couple people get summoned back and slain anyways.
Evacing to another zone is an alternative, but that is obviously more cumbersome and a seemingly pointless waste of time. I'd really like to see some dev feedback on this issue!

If I recall correctly, it was supposed to be fixed, but it still happens. But yea, if I could get a non-summon guarantee, it would make the AA useful again.

For reference, spells have a minimum casting time regardless Casting Speed Increment item, specialization, and/ or AA skills.
